I'd never thought that I'd be asking my company to buy these. At the time I hated them, but didn't realise that the spec of these is IP67 hermetic sealed. So that's why when I pulled the subsets out of fv439 that'd been sat for 10 years in a muddy field they worked. – at Upper Bucklebury, England

Lembit, this is another remarkably selective description of what is actually happening.
Daniel Thomas is not being prosecuted for opposing illegal immigration or for wanting to stop small boats.
Following a Hampshire Police investigation, the independent CPS decided that there was sufficient evidence and that it was in the public interest to charge him with criminal damage, together with a separate allegation concerning failure to disclose his phone PIN.
The allegation concerns damage to a boat while an emergency responder was still aboard it.
Whether he committed either offence is now for the court to determine. He is entitled to the presumption of innocence.
Nor should you casually conflate the people aboard these boats with the criminal gangs who facilitate crossings.
The Government itself distinguishes between organised immigration criminals and the people being transported. Indeed, since 2018, 95% of small-boat arrivals have subsequently claimed asylum, and some have also been identified as potential victims of modern slavery.
Then we get “police escorts, mobile phones & hotel rooms”, presented as though these are prizes being handed out.
People arriving by small boat are taken for immigration processing. Manston exists specifically so arrivals can be securely detained while their identities and details are collected and verified. Being transported under official control is hardly a luxury “police escort”.
The mobile-phone claim needs context too. Current legislation actually gives police, the NCA and immigration officers powers to search and seize electronic devices from illegal entrants where the statutory conditions are met. Phones may be provided in immigration detention where a detainee has no suitable permitted phone, because detained people need a means of communication. That is rather different from suggesting everyone arriving on a dinghy is rewarded with a free smartphone.
Yes, some destitute asylum seekers are accommodated in hotels while their cases are processed. But at the end of June 2026 there were 16,021 people in asylum hotels, 17% of those receiving asylum support, and the number was 50% lower than a year earlier.
You can oppose hotel use. You can demand faster decisions, stronger borders and tougher action against the smuggling gangs. I have argued for stopping these dangerous crossings myself.
But none of that requires turning an alleged act of criminal damage into an heroic battle against traffickers, or ordinary immigration processing into a list of supposed rewards.
If some people choose to make Daniel Thomas a “martyr”, that is their political choice.
It is not an accurate description of why he is before a court.
Facts matter, particularly when criminal proceedings are active.

Instead of opting for blocking @jeee475 how about being clear in what you're asking for. A single occupancy cubicle is a single sex space by the definition of being a single person space.
Borrowing an apartment from sister in laws neighbour for a few days. Love coming back to Sardinia even though the reasons are sad. One of the wild damson trees in the village is having a heavy crop this year. Might have to buy more jars.
Not sure how old this tree is, but I'd definitely say nearly 100 as it was looking like this when I moved into the village almost 30 years ago – at Upper Bucklebury, England
