Representative genotypes are chosen from genetically diverse populations based on genome-wide genotypic data for ex situ germplasm collections. Chromosome-scale genome assemblies are built for a small, but representative core set. The pan-genome compartments such as core (i.e. genomic sequences present in all individual of a species) and variable (i.e. sequences found in some/few individuals) are identified from the de novo assemblies.

Mit dem #global wärmsten #Februar 2024 endete der global wärmste boreale #Winter (Dez-Feb). Dies ergaben unabhängige Analysen mehrerer Datenzentren. Der Februar 2024 war nun bereits der neunte Monat in Folge in der die Globaltemperatur ein Rekordniveau erreichte.
In einer Tabelle sind die Analyseergebnisse von 4 Datenzentren zur Einordnung der Globaltemperatur des borealen Winters 2023/2024 (Dezember 2023 bis Februar 2024) zusammengestellt. Die Analysen stammen von Copernicus, dem japanischen nationalen Wetterdienst, der NASA und der NOAA. Angegeben ist neben dem Rang der Temperatur auch der Beginn der jeweiligen Datenreihe. Rang 1 bedeutet, dass der boreale Winter 2023/2024 der wärmste Dezember-Februar-Zeitraum der Datenreihe war. Rang 2 wäre der zweitwärmste verzeichnete Dezember-Februar-Zeitraum und so weiter. Alle Auswertungen ergaben, dass der boreale Winter 2023/2024 der wärmste bislang verzeichnete war.
