Borina, a high school freshman from Fremont, CA. “@TheFirstTee has had a positive impact on me. We have a group of the most influential people who really care for our young athlete’s lives teach us how to be a better person as well as a better golfer."

Sarah, from Colorado Springs, CO. “First Tee has been wonderful, the program makes you a better golfer but more importantly, a better person and community member. Since joining @TheFirstTee, I have learned skills like working and communicating with others.” @KKTV11News

Since 1997, @TheFirstTee has reached more than 15 million kids. Nine of those kids are participating in CoBank’s PEAK Performers program today. Here is their story.

Andrew, a high school freshman from Calvin, KY. “I've been with @TheFirstTee of Pine Mountain for my whole entire life. The people and community have taught me to become the best version of myself.”

Joshua, a high school junior from San Antonio, TX. “@TheFirstTeeSA has tremendously helped me not only on my golf game but also in learning life skills as well. The First Tee perfectly integrates life lessons into the sessions.”

Victoria, a high school junior from Pittsburgh, PA. “My mom did research and discovered The First Tee. I was taught all the golf skills I needed, but what made The First Tee different was the life skills and core values they have taught me.”

The First Tee has established Nine Core Values that stress community involvement, a cooperative value shared by CoBank. Some of our nine PEAK Performers explain which values they connect with the most.

Jack B., a high school sophomore from Bolivia, NC. “My favorite core value is Perseverance because it means to keep pushing through bad times and to never give up. I incorporate the core value Perseverance in my academics.”

Nina, a high school sophomore from Belleville, IL. “Perseverance is by far my favorite value and one I use frequently every day. I strive to get better and better and with each improvement I see myself working towards goals I have set for my future occupation, career, and life.”

Hunter, a high school freshman from Denver, CO. “My favorite of the 9 @TFTofGVR Core Values, is Honesty. I use the Core Value of Honesty in my everyday life by making sure I stay truthful to everyone I talk to and even truthful to myself on and off the golf course.”
