very true! every time jackie makes a ghoulcy edit, I'm like : "everyone, hush! my stories are on!"
AO3 being down means ‘reading fic before bed’ time is now ‘rewatch Jackie’s ghoulcy edits before bed’ time 🥹😩😍

yall are massive liars. writers are NOT mad for the vanity reasons that yall are desperate to claim (as it makes writers look bad so that yall can try to control the narrative). writers ARE mad about being excluded from communities & having their work reuploaded without consent.+
It's kinda crazy how all the evidence seems to point to ao3 being taken down by a data scraping phishing scam, but fandom circles seem more concerned about people uploading epub files of their fics to their personal google drives and whether or not they're getting enough kudos.

ghoulcy au / wedding woes : the last thing lucy wants to do is marry the man her father arranged for her... especially so after falling in love with cooper...with the wedding drawing ever closer, they both drown their sorrows, wondering what on earth they're going to do next

ghoulcy au / taking the plunge : after a few casual dates, cooper is ready to go all in on a relationship with lucy, feeling she's exactly what he's been searching for. luckily for him, lucy feels the same way

really wish I could get back into a creative state of mind, but my imagination is running on empty these days...my editing app is collecting dust right now

Valori, you might just be the hottest character I've ever created in a game

Lucy doesn’t know who she is anymore but the Ghoul knows exactly who she is and who she will become. He quite literally knows her better than she knows herself. Poetry. 🥺😭🥰

You guys don't want fandoms. You guys want faceless content pumping machines. You guys want fellow fans to be like ai, there only to deliver fanfiction to you and nothing else. You only care about what you can consume, the humans behind the fics you claim to love are a burden.

Fic writers who want engagement are not mining for kudos or whatever. We are people who screamed for 20,000 words about our ship and now WE WANNA TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT IT!! When we say we want interaction, we mean we want to talk about the thing we both like!

I think a lot of us AO3 authors not only publish for people to read... We do so because we also want to meet more friends that connect with the art we make. It sounds banal to say we write for other people to hear us and talk to us, but I think a lot of us do.

By all means, download your favorite fics, heck even share it with your friends. But we can never escape how odd fandoms treat writers, from withholding kudos, posting screenshots of fics without the links, even going as far as to gatekeep them, never leaving comments.

how come writers that want to connect with other fans through their work are engagement farming capitalists but people who post these google links for engagement and being called people's lord and savior are not losers?

I just think it's kind of funny that people saying they'll miss reading fic as a part of their day will get endless sympathy but as soon as a writer says they'll miss getting comments/reactions as a part of their day they'll get dismissed as capitalist engagement-hungry fiends
