An important skill in the AI era, next to knowing what to build, is knowing what to consume.
AI tools are so powerful that you can absorb ideas and insights from more people than ever before.
Knowing who is worth listening to is a very valuable skill these days.

I love how many people are attaching to the "half-bounch" startup time metric. I used to do paid macOS dev ~20 years ago and most macOS devs I knew then used the bounce metric! Back then multiple bounces was the norm due to HDDs. One bounce really wasn't possible until SSDs. We've lost this obsession and its time to bring it back.

Every paycheck you get is evidence that you’re probably pretty good at your job.
Every paycheck you get is evidence that you probably beat out some other good people to get that job. And continue to do so.
Working for someone else is an excellent choice most of the time.
Starting a business and working for yourself is a pretty bad idea most of the time.
There’s no shame or missed opportunity in having a job.

TIRED: using “—“ and everyone thinks you’re a bot
WIRED: never learning the difference between colons and semicolons: dont let it stop you
INSPIRED: assert dominance with the mega-hyphen. it’s not just punctuation ————— it’s a statement.

As a designer I want to:
- Install the first available beta OS on my main device
- So I can complain about how buggy the software is and how bad it looks
