Kudos to Jev from @typesafeai . I was able to recover hundreds restaurant receipts, illegible due to the thermal printing process. By combining OCR, levels treatments and Jev images identification, I managed to: generate an accurate classification of the receipts in no time, and reconcile 400+ invoices to finalize my accounting… while working from nothing more than a PDF export of my ledger. I saved myself a massive headache and days of work. I’m heading back to my real job: creative work!

After 3 months of dev, Overdrive is almost ready. Thanks to 600 beta testers, Overdrive will provide a faster preview in After Effects. It was a bumpy road, tbh. I'll push the latest version tomorrow with a great improvement: a new feature. Real-time screen recording (boring).

Reflexes at the bottom (you don't prioritise a wall), Jev and the matrix in the middle, and a fifth box Eisenhower never needed: "no idea". Self-driving already has one. It's called stopping. Works great, unless you stop in the middle of a junction.

Say mine has 3% battery, a pallet to move, and someone asking it for a coffee. It can measure the urgent part. The important part, someone has to tell it. That column of the matrix is where I type in what I care about. (Coffee, obviously.)🙄

This. Practice and vision are still the bottleneck. The trap was and remains the illusion of fluency in which smooth output reads as mastery. AI makes that impression cheaper to produce.

It’s not an AI slop fatigue. It’s all about the laziness of people copying and pasting directly the provided content from their LLM. The fatigue is there.

Overdrive 0.3.21. From Japan: temples by day, regressions by night. No more flickering on Windows, noticeably faster on heavy effects. Post a before/after by August 30. Faster, slower, no change, I want the numbers. 21,000 free lifetime licences. I have not done the maths.
