Every day, you use the names of dead Britons. ๐ฌ๐ง
You just never knew they were people.
Your wellies? The man who beat Napoleon. ๐ฅพ
Your mac? A Glasgow chemist who made cloth waterproof. โ
Your plimsolls? An MP who fought the owners of overloaded ships. โ
The tarmac outside? A road builder from Ayr. ๐ฃ๏ธ
Seven Britons. One ordinary day.
They teach you the steam engine.
Not that James Watt's name is on every electricity bill you pay. โก
The world runs on British names. It just forgot they were people.

Life is Neeps!
On this Halloween day hereโs a video from Scottish farmer (fermer) @standupfarmer.
In case any non-Scots speakers are struggling to understand it, Iโve added subtitles which will probably definitely help.

So apparently Jenny 1884 is a bigoted paranoid fearmongering disinformation superspreader who supports Reform UK, and is owned by a cat.
So apparently Nottingham Cathedral could be the first church to close in the Church of Englands 492 year history as it apparently has run out of money.
Am I the only one that thinks this is not coincidental but is intentional?
Just remember this government is giving our money away to all & sundry.
NOT ONLY ARE WE BEING REPLACED IN OUR OWN COUNTRY, OUR CHURCHES ARE BEING REPLACED TOO & WE ALL KNOW WHAT WITH.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Nottingham Cathedral is Roman Catholic. The story refers to Southwell Minster, the Church of England cathedral in Nottinghamshire that may face closure due to financial deficits and a ยฃ20m repair backlog accumulated over decades.

This has been a long time coming - but now thereโs very little time left!
Iโm not sure how itโs going to work in rural areas or for those of a certain age.
Seems a tad daft in the current climate ๐ง

Fingalโs Stone, Killin, Perthshire.
Alas, this poor wee rock has been somewhat โgentrifiedโ and most likely removed from its original location.
It is said to mark the spot where the mighty legend that was Fingal/Fionn mac Cumhaill, lies buried

FINALLY after years of cover-ups & denials from the highest levels of the UK govt. That in itself deserves an inquiry.
