Speaking of @RisingSunArts, their @HCTSFest makes this list this month, too - three stages with all manner of musicians (and more) including @MaBessieBand, @Jopymusic, @folk_note, @GraeJ and many more we can't tag here, all on Sat 12 August!

Cried at the polling station this morning as the old lady in front of me, who had struggled to walk there, was turned away. She had photo ID but not the right version. When I handed them my passport, they questioned if the photo was me. Horrible atmosphere. #election2023 #VoterID

This government has decided that WE the taxpayers are going to pay the bills to defend those who began the illegal VIP lane, handing BILLIONS to Tory friends and donors.
But no money for nurses.
At what point does political negligence become criminal?

The Sun apologises to Meghan Markle for publishing Jeremy Clarkson column.
It shows when the usually silent, calm majority come together we can effect change @IpsoNews. I doubt this is the end of this sorry saga.

This is a masterful cross-examination & illustrative of so many dangers: the danger of having big business in bed with a government, of having a government riddled with bullying, of 'free market' ideologies that give employers *all* the power in the workplace etc. So refreshing.

A new government, but still issuing lines to take that are not going to hold I see. If the Chancellor has been provided with a forecast by @OBR_UK then legislators - and indeed the public - have a right to see it bbc.co.uk/news/business-6297…

“I’m off to Tesco. I can’t find my wallet. Do they take exposure?” ❌

Be prepared to be wrong. If we were doing everything right already, we wouldn't be here. Don't be defensive. This isn't for a pat on the back. Listen to the voices of others. Take criticism. Change your behavior.
