Which is why airports are in such a feeding frenzy - they know that growth in aviation will become socially and environmentally unacceptable. They also know that they will never have a better chance than with this corrupt government in the pocket of the industry. @GoodLawProject – at South East, England

Why would Gatwick want to fit in 50% more cars when it is desparate to encourage passengers to use public transport?
Oh yes, because it's fibbing. Again
Same old Gatwick, always lying
London Gatwick has started letting passengers hand their cars to Stan, an autonomous valet robot from Paris-based Stanley Robotics that lifts vehicles by their tyres and parks them in a secure, robot-only car park. Stanley says the system fits up to 50 percent more cars into the same space, and it has been running at Lyon airport since 2019. The company is now part of South Korea's HL Group.

🔥 Andy Burnham is sounding the alarm with one hand while fuelling the fire with the other.
‼️ It's time for Labour to stop accelerating the climate crisis and start tackling it.

ALT Bradford District Green Party graphic contrasting two headlines about Andy Burnham. Under “YESTERDAY”, the headline reads, “Andy Burnham approves gas field”, with an arrow pointing to a black-and-white silhouette of Andy Burnham. Under “TODAY”, a second headline reads, “Andy Burnham warns of ‘winter of greater flooding’ – UK politics live”. The background shows a flooded road with partially submerged cars. The graphic highlights the contradiction between approving fossil fuel drilling and warning about the threat of flooding. The Green Party logo and “JOIN.GREENPARTY.ORG.UK” appear on the graphic.

The planning process is where jobs and economic benefits are overstated, where environmental and social damage is understated and where boxes are ticked to feign community engagement.

Wingate/CAA/NATS invited to Chidd PC meeting to discuss Jaywick’s plans to decimate this area and fry the planet - all declined. This is a feral industry out of control and untouchable we have a feeble or complicit administration. Trashing our children’s planet. Shameful

There is no space left for airport expansion over the South East. It is beyond saturated already. Communities have been fighting for their protection for years. Aviation is already destroying homes, marriages, the countryside, nature & people’s sanity - for what?? For whom??

Seaspiracy is hideous and terrifying; aviation is going the same way. Behaviour that will destroy our planet being excused with bogus claims of ‘sustainability’. I guarantee @ICCAN_UK et al will dish out kitemarks to ‘net zero’ airports and ‘green’ airlines - all gaslighting BS

You are actually just taking the piss. ‘Sustainable expansion’ is an oxymoron( it is simply a lie - av greenwash bullshit. Expansion at any airport destroys local biodiversity, destroys people’s live and fries the planet. And you know it - Foxtrot Oscar

So if Gatwick will be able to 'reduce noise' if it is given permission to expand, why doesn't it do so now, to show that it is not gaslighting again.

We’ve been under attack since 2014 when Gatwick illegally changed its flightpaths and CAA lied to protect it - as Flightradar24 clearly shows.
Nobody is working to mitigate the attack.

Dear @BackHeathrow I'm really excited to see that expansion at Heathrow will be 'sustainable'; in the context of the climate emergency this is truly groundbreaking - expansion without the depletion of natural resources is truly 'world-leading'. Bravo - how is that to be achieved?
We have been made aware of this @BackHeathrow letter being sent to local councillors seeking support. Its text is shocking – a bizarre claim #HeathrowExpansion can be part of the solution to carbon emissions and combating the climate change emergency.

"Hi, I'm Andy Burnham, and I'll say whatever the fuck sounds good at the time which helps me get even more power, status & money, and then say and do the absolute opposite once you morons have elected me".

Here's a freebie:
Aeroplanes produce carbons
Lots of aeroplanes produce lots of carbons
No aeroplanes produce no carbons
Planting a tree does not make an aeroplane produce fewer carbons
'Sustainable' or 'low impact' growth in aviation is bollocks
We are not stupid
Chris Stark @ChiefExecCCC says in second half of 2020, "we will publish the CCC’s next major piece of advice to Government, our recommendation on the level of the Sixth Carbon Budget. The Sixth Carbon Budget covers 2033-2037 & will be the first to be set on the path to Net Zero"

Why are fuels based on crops as a feedstock not a good alternative to kerosene? 🛬
They harm food security, risk deforestation and, according to @WorldResources, could actually INCREASE aviation emissions rather than cut them. 1/2
