It really is transparent that after years of calling Corbynism "a hate movement" and anti-genocide-in-Gaza protests "violent mobs", the British press has absolutely no idea to respond to actual racist pogroms, especially given they inspired them for years with anti-migrant hate.

So let me get this straight. The way to avert the rise of the far right is to give them everything they want.

The position of the gender-critical community appears to that a woman who has abnormal levels of testosterone should be considered male for legal and practical purposes, which has some fascinating implications that I don't think they've thought through.
Could any picture sum up our new men’s rights movement better? The smirk of a male who’s knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered. #Paris2024

Getting really into rug cleaning videos. They’re soothing not just because of the sound & the satisfaction of a dirty thing becoming clean but the hope they promise that anything can really become clean with enough washes & products………..perhaps even the human soul

There’s good arguments against taking generational politics too seriously but you have to admit there’s something uniquely cursed about the crop of British public figures who became famous in the 90’s

Delighted to say that since tweeting this I've had two more sources for this story, so am now confident in stating it as fact:
Robert Jenrick ran unopposed to be the president of the JCR (basically, undergrad student president) at St Johns College, Cambridge, and lost.
Replying to @JonnElledge
I have heard- I have not confirmed this - that as an undergrad Jenrick lost a student election to RON, why this that humiliation not beat this out of him

Labour already peddling a narrative that this victory is down to a changed Labour party. The reality of course is Keir Starmer was holding the pass the parcel at the right time, when the Tories eventually imploded. So they’ve won by default, on a lower share of the vote than 2017

Nothing but respect for even trying an overhead kick in that situation. Sometimes being really really angry and really really thick can be a good thing. A true inspiration.

non-binary: boring, defined by what you are not, implies existence of two genders

If you meet a surgeon at a party don't immediately start pitching to them. They are sick of hearing ideas for surgeries, and even if you give them a good one they will just steal it without crediting you

At a Hampshire school, vulnerable school pupils were used as guinea pigs and forced to inject themselves with blood taken in secret trials. They were unwittingly infected with HIV and Hepatitis
