there's a clear difference between lcd soundsystem & the dare btw. all lcd soundsystem songs are about knowing you're a loser, whereas all the dare's songs are about not realising you're a loser

absolutely incredible scenes in walthamstow where the community has mobilised in massive numbers to protect muslims from a rumoured right-wing fash protest in the area. this is what the real britain looks like! proud of these people!

It really is transparent that after years of calling Corbynism "a hate movement" and anti-genocide-in-Gaza protests "violent mobs", the British press has absolutely no idea to respond to actual racist pogroms, especially given they inspired them for years with anti-migrant hate.

So let me get this straight. The way to avert the rise of the far right is to give them everything they want.

The position of the gender-critical community appears to that a woman who has abnormal levels of testosterone should be considered male for legal and practical purposes, which has some fascinating implications that I don't think they've thought through.
Could any picture sum up our new men’s rights movement better? The smirk of a male who’s knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered. #Paris2024

one the one hand, ICT at school was pretty useless. on the other hand, quite a lot of my working life has been used making powerpoints. so, that's something

Getting really into rug cleaning videos. They’re soothing not just because of the sound & the satisfaction of a dirty thing becoming clean but the hope they promise that anything can really become clean with enough washes & products………..perhaps even the human soul

the thing I've figured out about my frustration with Longlegs is that if I was put in charge of a movie I think that's exactly what it would be like. and like I mean that as a criticism

what I'm saying is I identify very strongly with Longlegs (2024)'s ambition, weirdness and total medoocrity

at the library cafe the barista asked for my library card so I asked if the cafe is for member's only and he said yes and I said "oooh, member's club!" Absolute slam dunk, we were both chuckling. It might not be coming home but at least I have a friend

There’s good arguments against taking generational politics too seriously but you have to admit there’s something uniquely cursed about the crop of British public figures who became famous in the 90’s
Have you decided what a woman is yet?

Delighted to say that since tweeting this I've had two more sources for this story, so am now confident in stating it as fact: Robert Jenrick ran unopposed to be the president of the JCR (basically, undergrad student president) at St Johns College, Cambridge, and lost.
Replying to @JonnElledge
I have heard- I have not confirmed this - that as an undergrad Jenrick lost a student election to RON, why this that humiliation not beat this out of him
