I love the Nitehawk Prospect Park, which we helped rescue a decade ago, when it was abandoned and almost converted to condos.
On Friday, I proudly joined the workers of @nitehawkunion – the servers, runners, cooks, and bartenders who make it a real community movie theater – in their fight for a good union contract, with the wages they deserve & need to survive in this expensive city.
Do you love going to the movies? We do, too! So much so that we turned that passion into our full- and part-time jobs.
2) Improvements to health insurance premium cost-sharing for our theater staff
3) An annual increase for all staff that helps to deal with the significant cost of living in NYC (we have bills to pay and families to support!)
Enjoy the screening, it’ll be a great evening! We appreciate you picking up a flyer from our wonderful staff, and reaching out to our Deputy Director to demand for a contract that supports fair wages and benefits for our staff.
About to see Nosferatu with a panel with Robert Eggers, and I’m very excited, but @FilmLinc it looks like you have some explaining to do. #FLCUnion #faircontract
It’s time for a fair contract! We have been in negotiations with FLC since August 2024 and we have not been able to reach an agreement. Without a fair contract, our workers cannot make ends meet in NYC!
We have continued to act in good faith with FLC and have extended our current CBA through February in the hopes we may be able to reach a fair deal.

Congratulations to the bargaining committee and members of the @condeunion ✨✊ an incredible victory
WHEN WE FIGHT, WE WIN: We are excited to announce that we have a tentative agreement with @condenast on our first contract. Our pledge to do ‘whatever it takes’ ahead of the #metgala2024 moved the company and our progress at the bargaining table kicked into high gear…

Yesterday, we delivered our delegation letter to the bosses of Nitehawk. Today, we file our supermajority of signed cards with the NLRB. Here’s why we’re organizing.
Support the workers of Nitehawk Cinema ✊✊✊✊
In affiliation with @UAW, we are building a worker-led movement for all movie theater workers. Today we asked ownership for voluntarily recognition and filed our election petition.
