【ハチクの話】
最近、「ハチク」という竹が全国各地で一斉に花を咲かせ、そのあと枯れてしまう、という珍しい現象がニュースになっています。ハチクの開花周期は約120年と推定され、前回の開花は1902年から1908年に記録されており、まさに今がそのタイミングのようです。
