Surely it must be inconceivable for Powell as our Security Advisor not to have been security checked, and that would’ve included a deep delve into his wife’s (@SarahHelm1) political views.
If this wasn’t done, our close allies must wonder who else in our government is a risk to our and their security.
Powell has been involved in Chagos, the Chinese embassy, Palestinian statehood and no doubt the Troubles Bill, all highly controversial!

On the 20th of October 1984, 11-year-old Craig Bromfield and his 12-year-old brother Aaron went down to the Seaburn Hotel in Sunderland hoping to get some autographs from the Nottingham Forest players.
Aaron spotted Brian Clough walking along the seafront with some of his staff.
The boys went over and politely called him Mr Clough.
Clough took one look at them.
They had no coats on, they were freezing and Aaron had just been swimming in the sea in his pants.
Clough called them a couple of “ragtags.”
He told them they would “catch their bloody death” dressed like that, and asked if they had eaten any breakfast.
They hadn’t.
Clough took them back into the hotel and got them fed.
Then he told them they could travel to the match with Nottingham Forest on the team bus, as long as they went home first and got permission from their parents.
So Craig and Aaron ran the two miles home to Southwick, asked if they could go and ran back again.
Once they were on the bus, Clough sat at the front and told them to “bugger off” to the back, where Forest kept the chocolate, crisps and fizzy drinks.
They could help themselves.
Just don’t disturb the players.
For two boys who had grown up in and out of care, begging strangers for money and being sent out to steal, it was the best day of their lives.
Craig never got the chance to thank Clough properly, so afterwards he wrote him a letter.
Clough wrote back.
He told Craig he was pleased they had enjoyed themselves and hoped he would see them again.
At the bottom he signed it:
“Be good, Love Brian.”
Not long afterwards, Sunderland drew Nottingham Forest at Roker Park in the League Cup.
Craig and Aaron were waiting at the Seaburn Hotel before the Forest team had even arrived.
When Clough stepped off the bus, he hugged them.
Again, he decided they looked as though they needed feeding.
He told them to go inside and order whatever they wanted.
Forest returned to Sunderland again just before Christmas.
This time, Clough brought presents.
The boys were given a football signed by the Forest squad and padded jackets.
Clough hadn’t forgotten how they had looked the first morning he met them.
“Now you’ve no excuse for not bringing your coats.”
But Clough’s involvement in their lives didn’t stop with football.
One day outside the ground, Craig spotted four boys from school who had been bullying him.
Clough noticed something was wrong and asked him about it.
Craig told him.
Clough walked over to the four boys.
He gave each of them a ticket for the match.
Then he gave them a warning.
“I know who you are and I know where you all live, and I’ll come round to yer mams’. Now bugger off!”
They never bullied Craig again.
Over the next few years, Craig and Aaron became part of Clough’s family.
They stayed at his home in Derbyshire, played in the games room, went into Nigel Clough’s bedroom, travelled with Forest and were treated like little brothers by Clough’s children.
“We had been brought up to believe nobody could love us; that we were unlovable.”
“For the first time, we felt loved and special.”
When Craig was 16, his parents decided to move to London without him.
Clough told him to come and live with his family.
He went from being the 11-year-old boy outside the Seaburn Hotel without a coat to travelling to work with Brian Clough, helping out in the Forest dressing room and sitting in the dugout as they won at Wembley.
Years later, Craig was asked what his life might have looked like if he had never walked over to Brian Clough that morning in Sunderland.
“If Brian hadn’t done what he did, I wouldn’t have had a life, because I would have been in prison.”

🚨 LABOUR NATIONAL SECURITY DISASTER AS RAF FAIRFORD TERROR SUSPECTS ARE RE ARRESTED
I want you to see the terrifying clown show Andy Burnham has turned British national security into.
Counter terror police have just re arrested two men under the National Security Act on suspicion of assisting Iranian foreign intelligence.
These are the exact same suspects the authorities previously let walk free onto the streets on police bail.
Think about the sheer humiliation of this situation on the world stage.
Donald Trump literally ordered all ten American B 1 bombers to evacuate RAF Fairford because Washington no longer trusts Britain to safeguard military installations.
Now Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor confirms that direct Iranian state involvement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is considered highly likely.
Look at how Labour allows this madness to unfold.
If a British citizen posts an angry opinion on social media, the state kicks down their door and denies bail instantly.
Yet when individuals are investigated for aiding a hostile foreign dictatorship targeting a strategic airbase, they get released on bail until police scramble to pick them up again.
Andy Burnham has gutted military budgets, ignored foreign espionage, and left British territory wide open to hostile state operations.

John Healey has betrayed Britain.
He has betrayed service personnel.
He has betrayed the office of Defence Secretary.
He has cut almost £1 billion from spending on leaking and mouldy barracks.
As Defence Secretary he announced £7 billion on accommodation spending in this parliament.
“Our heroes and their loved ones live in the homes they
“For too long, many military families have lived in sub-standard homes, but this Government is taking decisive action to fix the dire state of military accommodation.”
Now today the MoD Permanent Secretary admits £7 billion won’t be spent in this Parliament.
Hot in the heels of the £2 billion cut to armoured vehicles announced yesterday…. Betrayal.
There is no other word.
And all the while, Streeting clings on the tailwind of office despite his guffage of resigning if funding didn't happen as needed.
The previous and current Defence Secretaries betray their roles and responsibilities.

As Charlie points out here, we have an Energy minister who has no experience whatsoever that qualifies her for this role.
No major capital project development experience. No grid management experience. No energy markets experience. No understanding of large load interconnection requirements.
We have fallen a long way, but by electing competent individuals in government, we can Restore our country.
Fahnbulleh is the daughter of a former Liberian Cabinet Minister. When Liberia descended into civil war her family fled to Sierra Leone and for some reason the British government granted them asylum.
At university she studied African economic development and now advocates for millions of migrants to be given ILR at a potential cost of hundreds of billions to British taxpayers.
She epitomises why immigrants should not be allowed to become politicians. She clearly feels no duty to the British people. On the contrary, she seems to see us as cash cows for the benefit of other migrants.

In 1987, at Loughgall, the SAS stopped eight murderous IRA killers.
The actions of the SAS that day no doubt saved innocent lives. Yet now, decades after the event, our brave veterans face relentless legal persecution.
Here's what really happened on that day in 1987👇🏻

It’s immoral to pardon the IRA, a terrorist organisation that deliberately targeted innocent people, then pursue our soldiers who were acting on orders, on the say so of Dublin or Sinn Fein
Today MPs will vote on Labour's Northern Ireland Troubles Bill.
It tears up the 2023 Legacy Act and opens the door to fresh investigations and civil claims against our brave veterans, decades after they served Queen and Country, fighting against IRA terrorists.
How can this country ever ask people to serve their country if the government refuses to protect them?
I voted against this proposal in November and will do so again. We have a duty to stand by our veterans! 🇬🇧

Why would a Jew-obsessive at the heart of the UK establishment concur with the view that the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz—the largest camp, where 1.1 million were killed, 90% of them Jews—was getting too much attention, then try to refocus the conversation on a camp (liberated on a different day) one-tenth the size, where only 15% of the prisoners were Jews, and refer to the “stunning courage” of all the non-Jewish groups?
It’s almost as if she’s a propagandist who finds Jewish suffering inconvenient to her attempts to paint Jews as oppressors and is even willing to whine about the commemoration of Auschwitz.
In general, though, it’s wonderful to see someone write about the non-Jewish victims of the camps, although it would be nice if it weren’t written by an open antisemite.
It is certainly puzzling that this bitch @SarahHelm1 denied that any Israeli women were raped by Hamas on 7 October.
We know scores of girls were butchered, raped and so mutilated they would not be recognised by their own parents.
