At a candidate forum, I was asked if I would commit to giving a particular non-profit $2.1M when I became a City Council member. I said no in front of 500 people. The other candidates at the forum said yes. There are needs assessment, budget, & procurement processes to follow.

Prop I puts the best data in the hands of the Austin City Manager and City Council. Not just this administration, but for generations to come.
And the City Manager and City Council are the only people with the power to make cuts to contacts or staff.
Vote Aye on Prop I.

I think we need to make it clear that the city auditor isn't allowed to recommend layoffs.

Meet the Status Quo Slate of Austin City Council candidates.
If you want more of the last decade - Project Connect, developer-first density, restorative justice, social spending that never reaches the people who need it, and audits that favor unions - these are your candidates.

Austin taxes us and spends over $6 billon every year. The city does not get audited. Not for spending, not for waste, not for performance.
That's why tens of thousands of Austinites put our Audit on the Nov 3 ballot. It will make publicly visible, independent audits the law.

Five stories that explain why Austin voters stopped trusting City Hall with their money.
Fictitious vendors. A million-dollar brand program. City-card lunches. Missing contract records. Missed results. Open the documents behind each story.

Why Prop I? What I saw within Capital Delivery Services: overpayment of consultants; missing contracts, scopes, & documentation; inconsistent project reporting; poor scoping & public engagement. Whistleblowers get pushed out. Regular audits will tell the city to run a tight ship.

Austin’s H.O.M.E. initiative has totally backfired, creating only additional high-priced housing while ruining neighborhoods.

Did Greg Abbott delete his endorsement of Bo French?
@TXOGA should withdraw its endorsement too.
Its member companies should be nowhere near that white supremacist.
