As I make this final push to complete my Master's Degree project, and (prayerfully) obtain my Master of Arts Degree in Communication for Development, I can't help but feel gratitude for the journey to this point. Grad School was not something I desired...#atall

Even as I selected the topic for this my final project, HE has left a trail of miracles at every turn to reassure me that this is the right way. My steps are ordered. I may be blind to what is coming next, but I know GOD has got me, and that is enough!

#freegame for those of us who need to attend events we hear about at the last minute but usually have a booked calendar a month in advance...REGISTER Anyway! Because usually #usually the events are recorded and slide decks may even be shared with the people who registered!
Development encompasses more than just #economicdevelopment however, economic development can, and should be, a major catalyst for all the other aspects of Development (for example, education, social welfare, health care, gender and cultural equity etc.)

There is a lot of talk of reflexive practice in academia in Development but if you, as a practitioner or consultant, are not listening or attending sessions like #COM2021 it’s time to check your motives for getting involved with Development in different regions

Saviorism, whether white, or brown, or otherwise is not what is needed or desired by impacted peoples. And if you’re not listening and in tune, then saviorism is likely your motivating force in Development work. Listeners. Partners. Co-Creators. That’s what is needed.

Billionaires have almost a third of America's wealth. If you got a $1,400 stimulus every day and never spent it, you'd have a billion dollars in the year 3978. But the billionaires pay a lower tax rate than the people getting the stimulus checks. Make it make sense.
