politicians are finally starting to see some sense: it is absolute insanity to widen roads for cars while we are in a climate emergency, when really we should be investing in ubiquitous bike lanes and free public transport!

As the heads of the G20 countries get together to tell us ✨how much they care about the climate✨, lets not forget that currently not a single one of them is on track to meet their obligations under the Paris Agreement: edition.cnn.com/2021/09/15/w…
We've already introduced plenty of speakers for our Oct 22 #globalstrike, but there are some missing... and it might be you! Do you have something to say about #UprootTheSystem? This Friday will be your chance to address the crowds on Stortorget!

Glöm inte att detta är sant för elbilar också. En hållbar framtid är inte en bilcentrerad framtid.

It's hard to save the world in your free time, when others are working and getting paid full-time to destroy it.

If you want an insight into climate activism I have like 500 forms to fill out for the council that are very confusing, press releases to write, billions of emails to send, and most of it has to be preferably done tomorrow. Awesome. Amazing.

Some exciting news from Sweden 🇸🇪 Gothenburg + Malmö both just formally submitted motions to endorse the #FossilFuelTreaty. If the motions pass, the cities would be calling on the Swedish Government to support a global transition away from coal, oil & gas. Watch this space!

great work by @CarbonBrief, read their in-depth analysis here: carbonbrief.org/analysis-the…

Analysis: The lack of diversity in climate-science research - Carbon Brief

Biases in authorship make it likely that the existing bank of knowledge around climate change and its impacts is skewed towards the interests of male authors from the global north.
