There are a bunch of apps running the same format. I'm wondering, does it make sense to clone your own app? People will get fatigued with seeing your same name vs curious seeing a new name.
another one making $30k/mo with pretty much the exact same format
same niche
same hooks
just a few variations here and there
the list of apps crushing it with these 2-slide posts is getting pretty damn long
What I'm mostly confused about is that people are creating automated phone farms to scroll TikTok and post like a real person but Apple can't do something similar to check for a lot of these?
Apple seems to allow some things to slide here and there. But when you put these violations on blast on X, it puts these Apple Reviewers in an awkward situation where you pretty much force their hand to rectify a situation. I’d bet it’s personally embarrassing for them to see an app they reviewed being called out for compliance publicly. Optics is important for humans.
Obviously we should all try our best to adhere to guidelines and never take our accounts for granted.
But if you’re building in public, you should proactively block these people who are repeatedly putting other apps on blast. And everyone celebrating their ban. These are spiritually poor people that want to see you fail, and will seize any opportunity to make it so.
Even if you think you’re 100% compliant, all it takes is one accidental slip up in the hands of these type of folk.
Tech that doesn't get talked about AT ALL here: Clarity. See visual recordings of what your users are doing in your app. It's free. It works on web. It works on mobile. Takes <5 min to setup. I find some of my dumbest UX mistakes with this one.
Still a little unsure about the aspect of schedulers getting you shadow banned or throttled. One of my schedule posts from this week is at 560k views!
✅success: scheduled tiktok posts on remote controlled iOS farm (nicknamed Handler Farm internally)
no shadowbans, pushed to US traffic 🔥
all done remotely
what we did:
> duped a post with handler
> scheduled it for 12 am in the night
> pipeline: appium, wda, iOS actions
result:
- 983 views (nowhere close to <300 shadowban territory)
- 94% USA, 1.4% UK
we wanted to test if tiktok detected the device being controlled through a developer access + if scheduling would work
👉🏽 "scheduling" test because all API schedulers are flagged and insta-shadowbanned (no matter what the founders of those schedulers tell you about posting direct to draft or other secret hacks etc)
with this we're getting closer to releasing an OPEN SOURCE version... we will put it up the link on gethandler.ai and anyone can pull it from git and use it free
also tagging my cracked engineer who's been working with me on cranking this out: @just_array0111
expect a post next week on it 🫡
This app is the Tate brothers equivalent.
This app does $100k/month and every screen of its onboarding breaks a different Apple rule.
I went through the Prayer Lock onboarding and I get why one article called it a masterclass.
It asked me to rate the app TWICE before I’d done anything.
The paywall says FREE in giant letters with “no payment now”. The $39.99/yr you’re actually signing up for is the smallest text on the screen.
I declined and got an exit offer: $0.76/week, the real charge is nowhere on that screen.
And there’s a discount countdown sitting in my dynamic island and on my lock screen as I write this 😭
Every one of these converts, that's exactly the problem. The devs following the rules are the ones losing.
Higgsfield is subsidized so much that I'd be saving $500 a month ( and costing them $300 loss ) just using them over @fal for personal use. Guess we'll see if they raise prices this year.
If one generates a 4K image with nano pro, it's now > the 10Mb limit that many API providers have for video. A 9:16 is 19.6 Mb. How is anyone handling that?
I have 40k IG handles from my users….how would I go about messaging them? I’ve seen IG limits to 100 DM’s a day and this would take over a year :/
We just hit 100,000 videos created with @FAL . Hopefully that helped ya get your series :P
50% of my model trainings on @replicate are failing due to infra issues. And had a week of similar type of infra fails. Already started to use a few @FAL API’s but maybe I need to move whole service over.
Looking for suggestions on improving prompting with Flux. Let's say I train a model on a person with glasses. Because flux training has problems, we still often need to prompt glasses. I have prompt tips but it seems like no one reads them :/
What’s a good cost for install for an iOS app? Currently, I’m making around $1 per user. Seems like if I can scale up ads for cheaper than that, I’d start to be able to make some really positive $.
