Austria, in a public display of its support to the ICC, convening others to do the same.
Now we need blocking orders from all European Member States to protect ICC personnel sanctioned.
🇺🇳⚖️ #UNGA81

"P4M will seek to renew and strengthen the multilateral system, not replace it; build bridges and bring together countries that may disagree on many issues but share a commitment to the basic principles enshrined in the UN Charter. Principles that are not negotiable, like sovereign equality, territorial integrity, the peaceful settlement of disputes, the prohibition of the threat or use of force, international humanitarian law, sustainable development, human rights and fundamental freedoms."
Let's hope more will rally.
Let's urge more to rally.

US war against the ICC has new victims: ICC President Tomoko Akane of Japan and ICC Senior Trial Lawyer Abdoulaye Seye of Senegal for engaging are the latest to be sanctioned as part of the US effort to destroy the ICC.
@amnesty warns last year that international justice and accountability were just another battleground for the the global predators, beginning with the US, but also Israel and Russia.
And there are far too many cowards among those who should stand up for the ICC and should champion the rule
of law and accountability, no matter the nationality and identity of the perpetrators of international crimes.
@amnesty stands with all those at the ICC sanctioned by the US and call on the Assembly of State Parties to act vigorously and strongly to protect the Court and international justice.

Many thanks to @btselem for their courageous and important report, the first from an Israeli organisation and media concluding Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
They are joining @amnesty and thousands of organisations, including Palestinian organisations, scholars and jurists in reaching this "unequivocal conclusion" and in demanding an end to the genocide.
In addition to Gaza, @btselem report also focuses on the crimes committed in the occupied West Bank, including forcible transfer, and warn us all that Israel is “replicating in the West Bank - albeit on a smaller scale - some of the patterns it is implementing in Gaza."
Given Israel' s ongoing crack down on the work of Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations, @btselem needs the support from all around the world who believes in justice and accountability, in independent media, in courageous reporting.
We must end the genocide in Gaza. It should have ended months ago.
Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
It sounds inconceivable. But it’s the truth.
Israel is taking deliberate, coordinated action to destroy the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Explicit statements by Israeli officials, combined with a consistent policy of destructive attacks and other practices of annihilation, prove beyond a doubt that Israel’s target is the entire population of Gaza.
Entire cities razed to the ground; medical, educational, religious and cultural infrastructure systematically destroyed; 2 million Palestinians forcibly displaced with the aim of expelling them from Gaza; and, of course, mass starvation and killing - all this amounts to an explicit attempt to destroy the population of Gaza and impose living conditions so catastrophic that Palestinian society cannot continue to exist there.
That is the exact definition of genocide.
The report we are releasing today is a warning: The ideology driving the Israeli regime is not confined to Gaza.
The same regime, the same army, the same leaders and the same commanders are implementing extremely violent practices against Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and within Israel. We are already witnessing the spillover of practices Israel is using in Gaza to other areas - on a different scale, but guided by the same logic. In the West Bank, this is taking the form of airstrikes, demolition of refugee camps, mass evictions, and the deliberate destruction of Palestinian economy and society.
No Palestinian who lives under the genocidal Israeli regime is safe.
There is no justification for genocide – not “self-defense”, not “security”, and not the heinous acts committed by Hamas on October 7, 2023, which triggered profound existential fear among Israelis.
The international community has not only failed in its duty to stop the atrocities, but the leaders of the Western world, particularly the United States and Europe, also share responsibility by providing support that enables Israel’s acts of destruction. It is the duty of the international community to stop the genocide Israel is carrying out in Gaza.
On social media, we are seeing footage of people buried under bombed-out buildings, displaced persons’ camps on fire, children starving, people desperate for water, and hospitals left unable to treat the injured and the sick.
As a human rights organization it is our duty and responsibility to say the truth: Genocide is happening, right here and right now.
This is our genocide, and we need to stop it.

Why does linguistic justice matter? 👇
Today, millions face discrimination simply for the language they use. It impacts their access to education, healthcare & legal services—basic human rights. In many cases, it is a matter of life & death. We need linguistic justice now.

Likely raped to death.
A doctor. A stellar surgeon. The embodiment of Palestinian ethics.
Likely raped to death.
The racism of Western media who are not covering this, and Western politicians who are not denouncing this, together with the thousand other testimonies and allegations of rape and other forms of mistreatment and torture that Palestinians have suffered in Israeli jails, is absolutely sickening.
