every nation should be focused on lowering the cost of energy while increasing its abundance there are few investments with more upside

The real reason cultural enforcers like German state media are running their half-hearted anti-AC campaign, is that the energy transition has weakened the electricity grid so badly that widespread AC use would overburden it.

My heart broke yesterday with news that my closest friend Jim unexpectedly passed away. He introduced me to web3, mentored me through it and kept me in this space with his inspiration. Jim was dedicated to making this world better through the mission of web3. He worked tirelessly at @jimwavefive, but he understood something most people miss: technology means nothing without people. In a space where connections often feel transactional, Jim made himself available to anyone who needed him. He had a rare gift—he could see the best in someone and make them feel like that quality mattered. He made everyone in the room feel important. Jim never gave up on you. When you hit the roughest patch where most others walk away, Jim did the opposite. He showed up. He always saw your human side and would never judge someone by the worst moment of their life. I will always remember you, brother. My thoughts are with Jim's family and my heart goes out to them. RIP. You deserved so much more time and you will be missed greatly 💜

We’re excited to be in Buenos Aires @EFDevcon this week to announce our next phase of decentralization with our @eigencloud restaking launch of the DIN AVS.
.@DINBuild has officially launched as an Autonomous Verifiable Service (AVS) on @eigencloud, marking a major step toward solving one of web3’s most pressing challenges: the centralization of infrastructure. DIN enables permissionless onboarding for RPC node providers, network watchers, and Eigen Layer restakers, offering a new way to decentralize and economically secure RPC infrastructure for web3 developers and applications across 30+ networks. This milestone builds on years of work from @infura_io, @MetaMask, and @Consensys, combining the reliability of trusted web3 infrastructure with the transparency and incentives of decentralized economics. 🧵

Many thanks to the DIN partners who have been essential to the building, monitoring, and node hosting for DIN: @_0xFury @everstake_pool @Liquify_ltd @nodefleet @ChainstackHQ @ValidationCloud @CompareNodes @nodies_infra @northwestnodes @InfStones @SimplyStaking Special thanks to @R_I_V_E_T, @alt_layer, and @eigencloud for their technical development, delivery, and collaboration over the past year. DIN's AVS is live here: app.eigenlayer.xyz/avs/0x115… @DINBuild will be activating Operator sets and their Lido Staked ETH ($stETH) allocations throughout the week while at @EFDevcon.

And there’s a conceptual convergence forming. There is no difference between politics and religion, emotional discomfort and physical violence, disagreement and blasphemy. Celebrating murdering people for engaging in debate or drawing cartoons you don’t like? You’re in a cult.
There’s a new political divide forming: If you celebrate when an innocent person whose political views differ from you is assassinated you’re gone. Don’t care what that person’s political persuasion is or how strongly you disagree with them. Cant think of one counterexample.

Human beings need purpose. Everyone can agree to this. Human beings are also notoriously bad at creating their own purposes. Hence why people find meaning in work, creativity, etc. When all of these things are stripped away, the purpose crisis will be a biblical level crisis.

You don't get selected to run on a permissionless network. You just fkn do or you don't there is no selection. Just sayin.

Is there a better feeling as an Indexer on @graphprotocol than investing to improve your infrastructure/indexing stack and seeing this happen? The Indexer in this screenshot (not W5) is coming for your queries.

Erigon 3 is insane for indie operators and homelabbers. I cant think of a recent client revolution, since the introduction of Turbogeth as an alternative to Parity archive, that smashes the barrier to entry for running your own archive nodes completely out of the park. Most of these machines are virtual ubuntu servers on contested baremetal with 8-32 cores and 8-64GB of memory. You don't need that much memory once your archive is at chainhead assuming your rpc load is pretty low. Time to get an Erigon 3 archive node synced on a 1Gbps connection w/Ottersync: ⏲️ Mainnet archive: 2.7TB (w/blob archive!), at chainhead in 8hrs. This used to take a week on E2. ⏲️Polygon archive: 5.7TB, chainhead in about 22hrs (very memory-hungry after snapshots are downloaded). This used to take MONTHS on E2 and other clients. ⏲️Gnosis archive: 990GB, chainhead in under 4hrs.

Four years ago I had the opportunity to say a few words in front of the people that launched @graphprotocol Mainnet. Most of the faces on that call were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed; new to the space full of energy and enthusiasm. Being quite a sentimental old git at heart, the message I wanted to convey was how much admiration I had for their courage and determination because I had been through the cycle many times and knew what was coming. I admired their courage to jump into a new and volatile space with both feet and their determination to stick to their ideals, solve problems on hard mode and make it work against the odds. At the time, I don't think anyone felt the weight on their shoulders. Four years on, all of those faces are veterans and feel the burden. Without exception. If I were standing in front of them today, on the fourth birthday of The Graph Protocol launch, this is what I would like to say: Four years ago I spoke of your courage and determination. Today, I stand in awe of how right I was - but for reasons I couldn't have fully understood then. Your courage wasn't just in jumping into something new. It was in staying true to your vision when the easier path beckoned. It was in showing up every day when the markets stopped caring, when the challenges seemed insurmountable, when you were ready to call it quits and when others walked away. The Foundation teams never stopped pushing. The Core Devs never stopped solving hard problems and having hard conversations. The Indexers, Delegators and hell, even some Curators, are still here plus there are many new faces to welcome. Your determination wasn't just about making it work against the odds. It was about building something real, something that actually serves developers and makes web3 better - not just chasing the next hype cycle. That is all to say the following: Sticking. Around. Matters. I can't emphasize enough how much it matters and how admirable a quality that stickiness is in a person. Levels of contribution change over time but building protocols requires us to turn up and play a part every day. Engineer your life so you can make a lifetime of contribution. Pass your wisdom onto new entrants and be generous with investing your time in them. It's not going to get easier and nobody is going to pat you on the back for it but your heart will be full and your mission clear. Happy fourth birthday, Graph Protocol. Never stop growing.

Immense gratitude to everyone who voted for President Trump on my behalf. I trust him to honor his pledge and give me a second chance. After 11+ years in darkness, I can finally see the light of freedom at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much, @realDonaldTrump 🙏
