Life is insane because you can wake up and see your face in an @OpenAI commercial
Incredibly grateful to the OAI team. Little me would be going crazy right now
gonna be in tokyo and singapore for the first 2 weeks of oct who’s there? wanna learn the niche local spots
is this a good segway to explaining how i got to 350k followers and 300m views in 1.5 years
hopefully ppl can use it to build their own personal brand and not make the mistakes i did lol
highest roi thing I’ve done as a student is just asking people for stuff
aka freewilmaxxing
this month alone I got to meet Notion cofounder, got free oura ring. both from just tweeting
got to see supercell HQ in Finland (makers of Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars)
turnaround for all was <7 days
i didn’t know anyone personally beforehand. just cold dmed and asked
if it feels scary think abt it like this: worst case they don’t respond
which is except what happens when u don’t ask. so ur not risking anything.
highly recommend:
- tweet the thing u want and tag the company
- dm the founder of the app u use and js ask for an internship.
- be specific- vague asks get ignored
pro tip have something that backs u up. project u shipped, social presence
anything that answers “why should i respond to this person”
I promise u do not need a billion connections or a warm intro. although warm intros do help :)

here’s how i met the cofounder of notion by posting on this app
all in the span of 3 days
i was visiting sf for a few days and rlly wanted to visit their HQ and meet Notion peeps. so i tweeted about it on a random Tuesday at 5 pm
genuinely had 0 expectations of anyone responding, much less akshay himself!!
a day later, the tweet gets 22,000 views, a couple tags and responses.
then i see akshay (notion cofounder) respond with, “let’s grab coffee, would love to learn more”
literally two days after, we had coffee at the notion office talking about life, social media, everything in between
then i got to tour the notion office courtesy of @nico3727 who does ai there!
Akshay and i talked about this but you genuinely miss 100% of the shots you don’t take
whatever that cold dm is, where u feel like “no one will see this”. u never truly, truly know until you try.
Internet works in really cool ways :)
does anyone here have experience sending out newsletters where they DON'T go to "promotions" plz help thnx
