As I sit here, drowning in my own tears, I keep thinking about the life I used to have—and how much I miss it.
This is what my life looks like lately. 💔
Day after day, lying in this same bed, surrounded by the same four walls, just trying to make it through another day.
And I’m going to be honest… I’m so incredibly tired of living like this.
I’m tired of waking up every morning feeling sick before the day even starts. Tired of being exhausted when I haven’t even done anything. Tired of my body making even the simplest things feel impossible.
I’m tired of watching life happen around me while I’m stuck here, missing out on so much.
I miss being independent. I miss being a nurse. I miss being the step mom and spouse I used to be. I miss getting up and going somewhere just because I feel like it. I miss having plans, having energy, having a purpose outside of managing this illness.
I miss ME.

Living with severe Long COVID, ME/CFS, dysautonomia, and everything else that has come along with it has taken so much more from me than I ever could have imagined.
And what people don’t always see is the emotional toll of spending nearly every day confined to a bed, not knowing when—or if—things will ever improve.
I spend so much of my limited energy researching treatments, advocating for myself, fighting insurance battles, coordinating medical care, and trying to find something, ANYTHING, that might help me get some part of my life back.
It’s exhausting. And some days, like today, I just don’t have it in me to put a positive spin on any of this.
I don’t want to keep living like this. I want to actually LIVE again.
I want to get out of this bed. I want to enjoy my family, take my dog to the park, spend time outside, and experience the little things that most people probably don’t think twice about.
I’m not asking for some extraordinary life. I just want the opportunity to enjoy an ordinary one again.
Today, I’m not looking for advice or reminders to stay positive.
I’m just sharing what the reality of severe chronic illness feels like sometimes.
Because I don’t want to just survive my life. I want to live it. 💔

Brazilian volleyball finally stepped up and banned men from the women's Superliga, in other words, Brazil finally has a women's volleyball league.
This means male athlete Rodrigo "Tifanny" Abreu will no longer be able to play at the highest level of "women's" volleyball, but Abreu managed to steal one last award before leaving, as he was named MVP of the 2026 Supercopa after his team won the Supercopa Championship.
Abreu is a man in his 40s, still going strong against pro female atheltes. Although he was banned from the top Superliga competition, that doesn't mean he's necessarily done cheating women out of titles and stealing opportunities away from them. He is still more than welcome to join an amateur "women's" team in Brazil where there are more than 40 other men currently playing.
Abreu's narcissism can be seen on full display on his social media where alongside photos he posts of himself surrounded by his medals (not an ounce of shame or self awareness), he calls himself "courageous" and "resilient."
"I don't want to be remembered just for the points I've scored or the titles I've won. I want to leave a legacy of respect, courage and hope," he says.
No Rodrigo, your legacy is one of cowardice, selfishness, misogyny, and the oppression of women, and you will forever be remembered as the shallow, ugly, cheating man that you are.

Washington is actually one of the worst states in the country for women's sports.
Men and boys have been allowed to steal at least 175 1st place medals and 362 top three finishes from women and girls in in-state competitions. This includes at least 2 state championship track and field titles in high school.
They have also replaced women and girls on teams, taking playing time away from them, qualifications to championships, and violating their privacy in the locker room.
Girl's have given testimony on how they have been hurt by your policies and how they have been punished just for speaking out and disagreeing.
Here are a few of the men in Washington that your state's leaders are more than happy to uplift and promote in sport while you push actual female human beings to the side as second-class citizens.

The Helsinki Court of Appeal has cleared three men who raped a heavily intoxicated 17-year-old girl in a wooded area in Finland. The girl was so drunk that she had actually been taken to the hospital for intoxication just before the assault. The three men then raped her in the woods right outside the hospital.
Both the District Court and the Court of Appeal completely dismissed all charges and let the men walk free without any convictions.
Judges ruled that despite her severe intoxication, CCTV footage showed she was still legally capable of forming and expressing consent. The court decided that the men could have believed the teenager was agreeing to having sex, ultimately freeing them from all criminal responsibility. It is completely fucked up that a court thinks a teenager drunk enough to need a hospital is somehow sober enough to consent to three grown men. Being drunk does not mean consent. Not saying no does not mean consent. If someone is too intoxicated to care for themselves, they cannot give real consent, period.

A major drone attack targeted St. Petersburg, striking the seaport, Ruchyi oil depot, Vostochnaya substation, and VKontakte data center. Parts of the city and Leningrad region were left without electricity, while VK services experienced disruptions. A drone also struck the cable-stayed bridge on the Western High-Speed Diameter near Bely Island. Ozon confirmed that its sorting center in St. Petersburg had also been attacked.
