We've long suspected that Spotify was recruiting fake artists and juicing them in its algorithm and placing them on the most popular playlists. Liz Pelly collected the internal docs + other evidence to finally prove it.

a photo of a large mural suspended among redwood trees. a pentagon of LED lights sits at the center, while a laser illuminates about a dozen paper lanterns hung haphazardly underneath. the redwood trees are bathed in ominous red and purple light. the atmosphere is mysterious & ritualistic

I don’t buy the self-righteous “harm reduction vote” line from people who’ve watched the annihilation of Palestinians for 13 months and refused to speak up. You’re heartless or a coward or both. More people need to sit with that fact. Look at what politics has done to you.

Hey world, unable to post last week but announcing my debut solo EP feels pretty wild after struggling to finish music for so long. All pretty different, a tiny sliver of my musical universe. Just wait til you hear the Piezo remix :") cclurl.bandcamp.com/album/pl…

This is the darkest anniversary of my lifetime. With near-total destruction looming, I think it’s safe to say that the entirety of Gaza has been deemed by Israel to be a human shield. This is called genocide. nzz.ch/english/satellite-ima…

Satellite images show extent of Gaza's wartime destruction

The view from space reveals the extent to which the war has devastated the Gaza Strip's agricultural land and infrastructure. Large swathes of the coastal region now lie in rubble and ashes.
