One of the most adrenaline-inducing things I've done in my life was trading FX. But also, it was very scarryyyyyy...what if the counterparty no deliver. And these were big clips; averagely $1M per transaction. Did $50M in 4 months. And saved the company $500k. Na trophy to me

There’s only one way to cure low self-esteem: gather much evidence that you’re who you think you are. To do that, you must be ready to fail a lot.

Looool!
Our last born just got into the university last week and she has already posted like 2 videos on TikTok. Omo, my eyes couldn’t take it, I had to quickly reach out to her and asked two of my siblings to talk to her too. Make she concentrate and reduce social media usage drastically. Make money no go waste abeg😭 Is this how parents feel too?🤣

As stablecoins become more embedded in cross-border payments, compliance infrastructure is emerging as a critical test of whether payment providers can scale without increasing regulatory and counterparty risk. @Oneremit_ says its integration of Blockradar screens every stablecoin transaction across its settlement network against AML and sanctions lists before it accepts or releases funds. According to Tobiloba Obasa, Oneremit's Director of Finance, the objective extends beyond regulatory compliance. Maintaining time-stamped records of transaction screening can support reconciliation, external audits, regulatory reporting and due diligence by banking partners and institutional counterparties. Individual wealth can shield you from many personal struggles, but it can never fully protect you from systemic failure. No amount of money can indefinitely compensate for a society that is fundamentally broken.

Why are people always surprised when this happens?
Thought this was a Nigerian thing. But actually realised its not even African. Its just how many people behave. And its quite sad that when you are in a certain job a lot of close relationships are associated with that job.

why have we regressed into trying to enforce gender roles all over again. we are meant to be equals. “the role was assigned to them and they hate it” yes? just like women’s gender roles were assigned to us and we hate it too. wtf is everyone on!
i don’t think men actually want to be providers. I think the role was assigned to them and they actually hate it. I don’t think they want to protect or provide anything.

A few things are true 1. A lot of other state governors are lazy and incompetent 2. Lagos has used to the other states as a benchmark for a long time when they should have moved on to other benchmarks 3. Governance in Lagos is lazy and incompetent.
The lack of development in many states in Nigeria is the largest contributing factor to the high cost of rent in Lagos & Abuja. If Lagos wasn’t so densely populated, these outrageous rent prices won’t exist, people are renting 3 bedrooms for 300k annually at Akute.

Una own dey always different. I told my barber I was getting married and I got a free haircut and this guy still came for the wedding and dropped brown envelope
So a woman booked a full-face makeup appointment for $200 and went to her wedding. Now the makeup artist is upset because she normally charges brides $800 for the SAME makeup. Since when do we get mad because somebody didn’t pay a wedding markup? The makeup didn’t take any longer just because she was a bride! 😂

That was PR for an album. The same way people tied purple glee for Ayra Starr’s album. Let’s be fr
CCI people were pouring oil on their head, or making AI slop images of themselves with oil on their heads because Pastey released an album. They're not that different.

I promise you, there used to be a time… The nation is poor and bleeding. About ten years ago, once it’s November, you’d begin to smell Christmas on the streets, in the local shops, in churches, even in schools. A lot has been stolen from us, basic things now feel like luxury.
I really hate how Nigeria doesn’t do Christmas properly. No proper Christmas markets, no stores dedicated to Christmas decor, nothingggg. You can barely find anywhere to shop for beautiful Christmas decorations. It’s so annoying because I love Christmas so much 😭🎄

It is a VERY EXHAUSTING and VERY EXPENSIVE PROCESS. It is why I always congratulate anyone who travels. I can only imagine the sleepless nights and thousands (and most cases, millions) of naira they've had to cough out.
People have lost a lot of money processing this japa thing. Some have even given up completely

I’ve said it before. Thank you for reinforcing.
instagram has brainwashed an entire generation into thinking expensive international trips are a life goal, even when they don’t even own a house. the west convinced you to fly thousands of miles, blow your savings, take 200 pictures and call it “finding yourself.” every country has mountains, beaches and pretty streets. western tourism propaganda is working exactly as intended.
