ALT Rand Zimmermann is an Arctic, a member of The Tribes with ice abilities. He is light-hearted, but takes his job seriously when the time calls for it. The Assassin doesn't mind him, though she his by no means is best friend either. Still, it's saying something considering she doesn't really like anyone.

ALT Character showcase: Esme Kanter. Esme Kanter is a Surge, a member of The Tribes with electrical abilities. She believes in the protection of the Omniverse and in doing her job justly. Her good nature, however, has put her at odds with The Assassin in the past. Although they both fight for The Filter, given the chance, Esme would like nothing more than to put The Assassin behind bars.

ALT Stretch goal for Peculiar issue one. If one thousand dollars in funding is reached, all backers get a digital deluxe edition that includes behind the scenes looks at the making of Peculiar.
