While there hasn't been public confirmation, there has been much speculation that a number of the air incursions over airports were launched from ships and more than one incident in Ireland seemed to demonstrate similar attributes.
The CIA has warned Spain, France, and Italy that Russia may be preparing drone attacks against them, sharing intelligence with European governments after CIA Director John Ratcliffe's Moscow trip in August, according to El Mundo.
Lithuania reportedly knows the drone type involved: a Gerbera with a 600 km range, to be launched from a merchant ship container at sea.

The Russian Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant, hit in today’s strike, is far more important than it may appear.
🕵️ Documents obtained by Dallas Analytics show that the facility is embedded in the production chain of seven Russian missile programmes, including two designed to carry nuclear warheads.
Internal correspondence, state contract references and component cooperation schedules reveal the facility’s role in Russia’s missile production network.

We’re launching the Army of Robots.
In 2022, we launched the Army of Drones. Today, drones account for over 95% of battlefield strikes, and Ukraine has more than 700 UAV manufacturers.
Now we need the next technological breakthrough: the robotization of warfare.
The goal is simple — save lives. Robots should take on the most dangerous missions: evacuating the wounded, delivering ammunition, mining and demining, reconnaissance, defending positions and engaging targets.
The Army of Robots is not one company. It’s an ecosystem. We will invest in defense tech companies, launch our own technology projects, test them with the military and scale what works on the battlefield.
We’re now looking for defense tech companies and engineers working on robotic technologies — as well as a CTO / Tech Lead for the Army of Robots.

The cUAS system is a Garpiya Perimeter 380W PRO. This 8-band radiofrequency jammer is a Russian made product, unclear if it just a repackaged Chinese product.

The Dutch government is stepping up civilian preparedness exercises in response to Russia’s intensifying sabotage and other “hybrid” attacks against Ukraine’s European allies.
Dutch justice minister David van Weel told @FT's @AndyBounds that during the cold war, western nations “had a pretty good system of taking care of our populations with shelters”. The former Nato official said now was the time to rebuild that infrastructure to better withstand “a cyber attack or a power cut or sabotage or floods”.

Russia’s fleet of ships sailing under its flag has grown by more than a third since January last year, as Moscow takes a bolder approach to keep oil and gas flowing in defiance of western sanctions, writes @alicemhancock.
Analysis by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air published on Friday showed that the number of ships registering under the Russian flag increased by 36 per cent from the start of January 2025 to 382 vessels by the end of June 2026.

🇺🇦🤝🇬🇧 The United Kingdom has become Ukraine's first international partner whose defence companies will join Avengers Labs, a platform for training AI models for unmanned systems on real battlefield data.
Soon, up to 12 British companies will be able to train and test their AI models in Avengers Labs. Importantly, the data will stay within a secure environment only, with no way to download it or move it outside the system.
More than 30 Ukrainian defense companies currently use Avengers Labs, and three solutions developed there are already in use on the battlefield.
Now we are opening this technology platform to international cooperation. This will bring together Ukraine's combat experience and our partners' technological capabilities to jointly develop AI for unmanned systems.

A russian drone killed a DTEK energy worker in Odesa region today.
The crew had just left the site after an air raid alert, pulling back to a safe distance in line with protocol, when the drone struck their vehicle. A second worker was injured and is receiving medical care.
DTEK is supporting the families of both men.

Footage captures the moment of tonight’s Ukrainian drone strike on the Iskra defense electronics plant in Ulyanovsk, Russia, approximately 860 km from the Ukrainian front line.
The facility belongs to Russia’s Almaz-Antey defense conglomerate and manufactures electronic components for radar systems, communications equipment and military hardware, including components used in Kh-59M2/M2A guided missiles.

Yesterday Finnish and Swedish Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) fighter jets were scrambled to intercept and identify Russian military aircraft in international airspace over the Gulf of Finland. This was the first joint operational identification mission our air forces.
