If covid infections make you *more vulnerable* to almost every other pathogenic infection by multiple mechanisms, then you'd expect increases in almost every other pathogenic infection.
And that's what we see.
Ten completely unsurprising news stories:

It’s still hasn’t occurred to you that many people eating out less due to the risk of infections in crowded restaurants. Especially during the winter months. Will your association ever step up and provide your members with the info they need to make indoor dining safer?

That is why Restaurants Canada has been urging the federal government for months to provide real cost relief to Canadians and restore consumer confidence to stimulate discretionary spending.
Restaurants Canada’s Chief Economist’s analysis shows the GST and HST holiday will serve as a strong incentive for price-conscious consumers to loosen their budgets during the two-month exemption period.

Many can escape the pandemic already. They can just refuse to socialise. Yes if they have kids, if they need hospitals or aged care (for example), they will have enforced high-risk situations.
But quite a lot of people are not in that situation. A short thought experiment. /1

How can @CMA_Docs apologize for historic harms while still committing them in the present? There is still rampant racism towards Indigenous people in Canada’s healthcare system. TW: One of the last reports of forced sterilizations was as recent as 2019. ctvnews.ca/health/canada-s-i…

Sooooooo many ppl who've just returned to work or school in Ontario have #Covid right now. Doesn't help that access to vaccines is now very limited. Worse for Paxlovid. My #LongCovid referral list keeps growing. 😷#CovidIsNotOver
