Lo and behold, it appears Ilhan Omar's alleged Brother-Husband had filed one of the same documents that her lawyers were seeking out back in 2019 regarding a petition to convert one's immigration status from conditional to permanent residency. After Ahmed Nur Said Elmi filed the petition, immigration authorities followed up seeking more information on grounds it might be a sham marriage. He withdrew the petition.
