I don't believe that you need your TTRPG books edited by sensitivity readers. I don't believe your emotions need to be coddled. I have faith in you as an adult.

If you played D&D in the ’70s or ’80s, I need your help with some research!
What version did you say you were playing, and what rules were you actually using?
Did you mix OD&D, Basic and AD&D rules/material? What year was this?
Tell me what you remember! – at San Marino, CA
A double-gimlet and home-made shumai for lunch.
Very nice. I don't normally drink cocktails with a meal, but gimlets and Asian food are like a secret weapon.
What do other DMs do for archers and other missile-wielding attackers shooting upward? Do you just use the range as calculated -- how most systems would have you do it RAW --, or do you adjust the effective range taking gravity into account?
In the past, I've used:
Effective Distance = Horizontal Dist. + 2xVertical Dist.
Are there other rules y'all are using?

Prep-cooking for tonight's fete. Duck stock and caramelizing sugar for the cherry sauce. Boudin simmering on the right. Kitchen smells amazing.
My three little ducks have been chilling in the fridge over night. Gonna smoke them over cherry wood this afternoon.
One of our friends coming tonight has discovered that she has a dairy allergy. These are our friends who, of all our friends, are most likely to appreciate the good food that I cook. I normally make recipes from France or northern Italy -- recipes that I think of as "butter recipes." I needed to find a fat that is just as delicious as butter that won't kill my friend.
I think I succeeded.
