5 Pancreatic Cancer Trials to Watch at ESMO 2026 The ESMO Congress 2026 will feature new pancreatic cancer data across resected, borderline resectable, locally advanced, and metastatic disease. Trials to watch: • RASolute 302 — Additional subgroup analyses of daraxonrasib vs chemotherapy in previously treated metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma • AMPLIFY-7P — Randomized phase II results with ELI-002 7P vs observation in resected pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma • MASTERPLAN — mFOLFIRINOX with or without SBRT in patients with high-risk, borderline resectable, or locally advanced pancreatic cancer • HRS-4642 — Preliminary phase II results with HRS-4642 + chemotherapy ± adebrelimab as perioperative therapy in KRAS G12D-mutant pancreatic cancer • INCB161734 — Safety and efficacy of INCB161734 in combination with chemotherapy in advanced or metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma Together, these five presentations will provide additional data across resected, locally advanced, and metastatic pancreatic cancer, including several RAS-directed treatment strategies. @AHollebecque @WainbergZev @EileenMOReilly 📎oncodaily.com/gastrointestin… #ESMO2026 #KRAS #OncoDaily

At @ChampalimaudF PDAC conference, @chiaro_del reviews radiotherapy in LAPC: no proven OS benefit, higher complication risk. Seek a second opinion to assess surgical resectability before radiotherapy in locally advanced PDAC.

🧵 1/10 The arc: POLAR - MDF – TIE Pancreatic cancer is profoundly resistant to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Yet, POLAR (pembrolizumab plus olaparib) trial showed that a subset of patients, especially with HRD (gBRCA2/1m or gPALB2m) tumors, can achieve remarkably durable control. That led us to two questions: #1 👆🏼what makes these tumors immunogenic? #2 ✌️what makes that immunity actually work? 👑 #2. POLAR TIE @biorxivpreprint biorxiv.org/content/10.64898… #1. What will define the next 25 years of cancer research? A new Nature Reviews Cancer Viewpoint argues that oncology must move beyond describing established tumours towards predicting their future behaviour, intercepting disease before invasion and eliminating the capacity of residual cancer cells to restart tumour growth. Two concepts particularly stand out. Minimal residual disease may not be defined adequately by the number of malignant cells that remain: a small population with high “restart potential” could be more clinically important than a larger population of irreversibly damaged cells. Similarly, larger and more complex AI models are not automatically better biological models. Progress will depend on well-annotated datasets, rigorous benchmarks and cancer-specific computational tools. This is a forward-looking expert Viewpoint rather than evidence supporting immediate clinical practice change. Nevertheless, its central message is compelling: the future of oncology will depend not only on detecting and describing cancer, but on predicting how it will evolve, resist treatment and restart. ☑️nature.com/articles/s41568-0… #CancerResearch #PrecisionOncology #CancerGenomics #ArtificialIntelligence #TranslationalResearch @oncodaily @Nature @NatureRevCancer @dougflora2

🚨🚨🚨BREAKING CANCER NEWS! 🚨🚨🚨 Merck $MRK and Moderna $MRNA personalized mRNA cancer vaccine slowed the return of melanoma and its spread to other parts of the body in a Ph3 clinical trial. No data disclosed yet, but the study was stopped for positive results at the first interim analysis. Magnitude of benefit TBD, but this is a potentially huge breakthrough for cancer patients and the use of mRNA to treat cancer.
