Today, SANParks joins the global conservation community in observing World Ranger Day, a day dedicated to honouring the men and women who protect our natural and cultural heritage and remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of World Ranger Day and is observed under the theme "Rangers: Guardians of a Changing Planet."
From protecting biodiversity and supporting conservation efforts to engaging communities and ensuring the sustainability of our protected areas, rangers play a vital role in safeguarding our natural heritage for future generations.
Today, we celebrate and thank all SANParks Rangers for their dedication, courage and commitment to conservation.
