exactly! I have a lawyer specifically for sweepstakes, and it depends on where you're running the campaign. US is basically the same everywhere except for a few states, but EU is a whole different story. Every country has it's own laws for it.

Everybody is running crazy discounts for Black Friday right now. They work. They bring in orders. They can absolutely crush a weekend. But a discount has a problem nobody talks about. It costs you more the better it works. Every extra order gives away more margin. Sell twice as much, give away twice as much. A sweepstake doesn't work like that. The prize costs the same whether 100 people buy or 10,000. And there's a second problem. On Black Friday every brand is fighting for the same attention. Every inbox, every feed, every ad says 30% off, 50% off, 70% off. Another discount just blends in. A prize people actually want stands out. So I'm not saying drop the discount. Keep it. It just doesn't have to be a crazy one. Add a sweepstake on top and let the prize do the work. Here's what that looked like for a dental clinic we worked with. They did around $2M a year. Five years in a row. Then in September we ran one sweepstake and they did around $1.5M in deals in a single month. Invisalign is expensive and we didn't want to overcomplicate the prize, as the customers are both genders and 16-35 yo. Everyone who paid a deposit in September was in. 5 of them got their money back and a free invisalign treatment. Two more things made it work. A real reason to launch. They were opening a new location in the capital. Real people behind it. A family business. The dad runs the company, the mom is an award winning dentist, and the kids are all over their socials. One VSL on the landing page. Around $3k on Meta running the same VSL as an ad. The only limit was capacity. We could have done a lot more if they had the chairs. The best part was when the owner called my cofounder and told him they had never had this much money in the company account. But here's the part people are missing. This isn't a dental thing. It works in any industry, as long as the prize and the message are built for that audience.

i built ironpaws.co a sweepstake nobody asked for. win a $100,000 wellness year with your dog. the people buying a human-grade superfood for their dog are not eating fast food themselves. they run, they hike, they meal prep. the dog is just part of the routine. so the prize had to match that life. not a car. a full year of retreats, trails and healthy living with the dog next to you. and it's a subscription brand. subs get 2x entries, so the sweepstake pushes the exact thing they want most. unofficial concept. not affiliated with iron paws @billyhowell

i built lomi.com a sweepstake nobody asked for. win $100,000 cash. lomi is the kind of product i love for this. it's a $500 machine. one order = 500 entries before you even think about it. most brands run giveaways on $30 products and wonder why nobody cares. when the average order is this high, the entries feel real and people actually remember they're in the draw. i went with cash on purpose. a lomi buyer cares about the planet, but they also have bills. $100k is the one prize that works for everyone. unofficial concept. not affiliated with lomi @mbertulli

i built crazycompression.com a sweepstake nobody asked for. win $100,000 and put your feet up for a year. i saw @andreibreha's tests on their site and got curious about who actually buys these socks. it's nurses. people on their feet 12 hours a day. so the prize had to be the opposite of their life. not a car, not a trip. a full year of not standing. that's the whole game with sweepstakes. the prize has to hit the exact pain of the customer. get that right and the rest is just math. unofficial concept. not affiliated with crazy compression @andreibreha

i built @battlbox a sweepstake nobody asked for. win a $100,000 toyota offroad camper. john already runs battlgames with a $25k prize. great content. but nobody has to buy anything to watch it. put the same prize money behind every box instead. every dollar = 1 entry, subscribers get 2x. now the giveaway makes money instead of costing money, right before black friday. and the prize had to be a truck. look at who buys this box. nobody in that audience says no to an offroader with a rooftop tent. unofficial concept. not affiliated with @battlbox @JohnMRoman

If you run a dtc brand making more than $200k per month, you’re leaving money on the table when you’re not doing sweepstakes. When you run a sweepstake campaign you’ll do 30%+ more rev, without loosing money on crazy discounts. I know it’s hard putting up a big chunk of money up front, like $50-100k…so…we built trysweepsy.com where you can achieve the same result for a fraction of the cost. ama

i built getwinks.com sweepstake nobody asked for. win a $100,000 to do whatever the f you want for a year their buyers already take smth every night to switch off. now every pouch is a ticket to a full year off + if you get a sub you double your chances. i genuinely think this would do wonders for them. unofficial concept. not affiliated with Winks @codyplof

i get it, but I believe they just need someone to explain these types of campaigns to them and how it actually works. One thing is the sales part obviously, and the second is brand building and giving back to the customers. If you/they have any questions my dms are always open for you. I genuinely believe this would be great for your brand, and the sooner you guys do it the sooner you’ll realise it :)

i built @cutsclothing a sweepstake nobody asked for. shop and get a chance to drive away with a brand new $100,000 mercedes. wear class, drive class. why this works so good is not because people really believe they'll be the one to win, but there's that chance, there's that "what if" that people put in they're head...and if they're on the site, they already want the product, the question is just when. a sweepstake makes them convert now, and makes them spend more. I've done 5 campaigns like this and every single one broke sales records. unofficial concept not affiliated with @cutsclothing @stevenborrelli

i built @Frostbuddy_ a sweepstake nobody asked for. shop with us and win a new $100k backyard or $100k cash. it's really important to nail the prize whe it comes to these type of campaigns. it really has to hit the spot for your customers...and looking at Frost Buddy they're all about faith and family... a nice backyard with a pool is something that brings families together so that's what i went with. these type of campaigns break sales records, because it's just that cherry on top that makes people convert a lot better and spend more. unofficial concept and not affiliated with @Frostbuddy_ @brock_mammoser i'd love to work with y'all

i built @butcherbox a sweepstake nobody asked for. subscribe and get a chance to win a new $100k kitchen remodel for black friday. I've done this exact concept for 3 different brands, 5 campaigns all together and every single one broke companies sales records. people are used to discounts and they know there'll always be another one. with sweepstakes it's different. nobody really believes they'll win, but there's that 'if' that get's people to convert a lot better and spend more. this is an unofficial concept and not affiliated with @mikesalguero @butcherbox but i'd love to work with y'all one day :)
