I like how calmly the Christian guy made his points. So calmly even to the extent of being annoying to an opponent across the table 😂😂

Two instruments that should never meet but when they do, you get this. The kora is 300 years old. 21 strings made from a calabash and cow skin, from West Africa. The cello is 500 years old. 4 strings, from 16th century Europe. Different worlds with different histories but they speak the same language. Praying for you Papa Leone. May God keep you. Amen
Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.

GOD’S INVITATION AND HUMAN RESPONSE Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A Isaiah 25:6-10; Philippians 4:12-14, 19-20; Matthew 22:1-14 There is a difference between receiving an invitation and accepting it. We may be invited to an important celebration, yet choose not to attend because something else seems more important. In today’s Gospel, Jesus uses the image of a wedding banquet to describe the Kingdom of Heaven. The tragedy is not that the guests were never invited, but that they refused to come. In the Gospel, the king prepares a wedding feast for his son and sends servants to summon the invited guests. Everything is ready, yet some ignore the invitation and return to their farms and businesses, while others mistreat and kill the servants (Mt 22:1-6). The responses of these guests reveal how easily ordinary concerns can become obstacles to God. Work, business and personal ambitions are not evil in themselves. The problem arises when they become so dominant that God no longer has a meaningful place in our lives. We can become so occupied with pursuing our plans that we fail to recognise the invitation God is extending to us. Now, when the invited guests refuse to come, the king sends his servants into the streets to invite everyone they find, “bad and good alike” (Mt 22:8-10). This gesture reveals the wideness of God’s mercy. His invitation is not reserved for a privileged few or those who consider themselves worthy. He calls people from every background, offering them the opportunity to share in his Kingdom. God’s grace reaches beyond the boundaries we often establish, and no one should presume to be beyond the reach of his invitation. However, the parable does not end with the banquet hall filled. The king comes in, notices a guest without a wedding garment and asks him why he has come unprepared (Mt 22:11-13). This difficult detail reminds us that accepting and responding to God’s invitation involves more than simply showing up. We must allow his grace to transform us. The wedding garment as used here can be understood as an image of the conversion, faithfulness and good works that should accompany our response to God’s call. We cannot claim the privileges of the Kingdom while refusing to live according to its values. God welcomes us as we are, but his grace calls us to become what he desires us to be. The first reading offers a beautiful vision of what God has prepared. Through Isaiah, the Lord promises a feast for all peoples and the destruction of death, wiping away the tears from every face (Is 25:6-8). This banquet represents the fullness of salvation, when God will overcome suffering and death and gather his people into the joy of his presence. The invitation, therefore, is not merely to attend a celebration but to share in the life God desires for humanity. The Eucharist is the banquet of the Lord, where Christ feeds us with his Word and gives us his Body and Blood as food for our journey towards eternal life. Each celebration is an invitation to encounter him, receive his grace and become more like him. As we approach the Lord’s table today, let us ask whether our hearts are truly ready to receive him and whether our lives reflect the love we celebrate. The banquet is ready, the invitation has been given, and the door is open. May we respond wholeheartedly and live in such a way that, having accepted the invitation, we may one day share in the eternal banquet of God’s Kingdom. Fr. Ugochukwu Ugwoke, ISch

🇮🇱 IMAGINE THE SHOCK OF IDF SOLDIERS ENTERING HEZBOLLAH’S UNDERGROUND FORTRESS! After years of intelligence gathering and preparation, Israeli soldiers finally entered the enormous underground complex beneath Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon. What they encountered was extraordinary. A hidden military world carved into the mountain. Command centers. Weapons stores packed with rockets, missiles, drones and anti-tank weapons. Living quarters, kitchens, showers, generators and extensive underground passages. Hezbollah had spent years building this fortified complex with Iranian support. Imagine the realization: this was not just a tunnel. It was an entire underground military installation, designed to help Hezbollah wage war against Israel. Israeli soldiers worked to secure the complex, clear its underground routes and enable the destruction of this massive terror infrastructure. Years of construction. Enormous resources. A fortress hidden beneath a mountain. And the IDF got inside. 🇮🇱 The intelligence. The courage. The determination. This is what Israel’s soldiers accomplished. AM YISRAEL CHAI! 🇮🇱
