@kripken I upgraded my local Emscripten install after several months and was happily surprised to see a free ~20% performance boost in my application as a result! Thanks so much for the hard work you do on that and your other Wasm projects

I posted a #gist detailing how I used @emscripten to compile #CLIPS to #WASM for my Tour of CLIPS (ryjo.codes/tour-of-clips.htm…)! Check it out: gist.github.com/mrryanjohnst… #programming #javascript #rulesengines

I've gone through the GitHub repo's updated-code folder for "WebAssembly in Action" and adjusted it to work with Emscripten 3.1.32: github.com/cggallant/WebAsse… Also indicated how you can use Docker images for Python and Emscripten rather than installing them directly. @ManningBooks

Turns out the only thing stopping DOOM from working was SDL+Emscripten's main-thread audio code. Just had to rewrite that... and hack Emscripten and the blit SDK so I could use SDL3... ... and here's DOOM running on an emulated (ish) 32blit in a browser:

What I love here, besides the fact this awesome thing exists at all, is that the zine _itself_ is a DragonRuby game, using the Emscripten target. But also, holy shit someone wrote a zine about something @amirrajan and I built! I can't begin to say how flattered I am by all this.

Finally got around to playing with @emscripten and, oh my gosh, what a revelation. Setup was derailed by some dodgy Windows 10 shenanigans and I had to remember/work out how to start a server (I settled on IIS express). But, hey, it works!

We've just created a 116kb WASM build of Blink that lets you run x86_64 Linux binaries in the browser. It supports 500 instructions and 130 system calls. github.com/jart/blink/issues…

Just wait till you learn how this project works github.com/nidi3/graphviz-ja… GraphViz (written in c) is compiled to JavaScript (using @emscripten), then executed on the JVM with the J2V8 library on the java V8 JavaScript engine

Testing #ArtoolKitPlus with #Emscripten and #TypeScript, a single #marker is detected: You can see that the id number is displayed (31), the center position is highlighted with a green circle and a blue rect is drawn around it. Next will add a @threejs simple #3d example 🙂🙌💯

For those using WASM via Emscripten... Don't sleep on enabling MODULARIZE output and ESM. Finally got a team to make this change in today after a year of suggesting it and saw a 38% reduction in JS output size.

Really starting to love Emscripten's Asyncify. All my C code is still synchronous and runs in the browser without modification.
