Made a pilgrimage down to the South Downs Way last week to try take a pic of the Milky Way. I wasnt convinced it was possible either this near to London or indeed anywhere at all. Turns out it is. Had a few queries about it on IG/Strava, so done a write up cwvid.com/milkyway
