Yesss! I love things like this. 🥰👀
Replying to @emmacruises @thecruiseglobe
great how the live tracker links to all the info, for the ports and ships! Was interesting to see what Iona did over the weekend when it missed Le Harve, due to the demonstrations, it just went to Vigo, to arrive a day early, will see what it does with its extra day!
There are a whopping 6 cruise ships visiting Nassau tomorrow! 2 from Royal Caribbean, 2 from Carnival, 1 from MSC and 1 from Disney. Woah! Busy busy. 🤯⚓️
How do I know that? Well, The Cruise Globe (my free app/website) now has port information! You can see which ships will be docked when and what cruise itinerary they are going on. 👀🛳️
It’s hours and hours of free cruise fun. If you have a cruise planned, you can find the ship you’re on next and see who’s docked with her. Just zoom in on the live tracker. My next ship is all alone right now in the ocean. 🤩😁
(Pssst, The Cruise Globe app is totally free and we don’t have display ads in it or any premium tiers. All of it is free for you to use. We support the app through sales of maps at our company The Cruise Maps and through cruises at our agency). 😁🥰
Want to book a TUI river cruise (the one I took recently) but not from the UK? 🇬🇧😀
We can book you at my agency! Get in touch via The Cruise Globe app or on my website. 😎🙏🏼
Thanks so much Cathy! So proud of our whole team. This makes me very happy. 🥳❤️

That’s a wrap! My TUI river cruise has come to an end. Thank you so much for following along with this adventure. 😁💪🏼
I can’t wait to show you everything! This cruise didn’t go to plan at all (the only port we visited from the original itinerary was the disembarkation port) but there were so many things I enjoyed about this trip. 🥳🤘🏼
Do you have any questions about TUI or river cruising in general? I’m going to be making 3 videos from this cruise because I have so much to say. So please let me know what you want to know so I can answer them in the videos. ☺️❤️
‼️ Unrelated but important!!! There is a very convincing scam going around at the moment targeting people who have booked an NCL cruise. I’ve had quite a few emails from people who have recieved the scam emails and at my agency (The Cruise Globe) we’ve contacted everybody who may be targeted, just as a precaution. Please be so careful clicking links in emails, even if it looks like it’s come from a cruise line! If you’ve booked through my agency all communication will come from us and you can always phone/email us if you are unsure about anything at all. We’re here to help, as much or as little help as you need. If you’ve booked directly, please just be very careful (and maybe book with us next time if you don’t already have an agent you really love. It costs at least the same, often less than booking direct and we can deal with all the stress for you). Just get in contact with me and my team on my website, or via The Cruise Globe app. 🫢‼️
We made it out of the lock!! This is definitely one of my favourite things about river cruising, always being SO close to whatever is going on outside. 🤣👀
I know it sounds weird me saying that I love being close to a wet concrete wall but hear me out… 🫢😂
I did a live stream from my cabin where we started sailing along the river in the sunshine and by the end there was floor to ceiling concrete outside and it was DARK. It felt like we moved SO FAST and I love being so close to the action. You can watch it on the Emma Cruises YouTube channel. 🫢❤️
The sides of the lock was only a few inches away from my cabin and you can go up on the top deck to see it too. We go through locks in the day and at night. 🤓💦
If you are somebody who likes sail aways on ocean ships, you’ll love a river cruise. It’s like a sail away the whole time that you are sailing because there’s always something to see. It’s so peaceful too and so quiet. You can hear the water as you’re close to it. 😎⚓️
Do you think you’d enjoy a lock?! 🤔😅
Whether you fancy a river cruise or prefer the ocean, please get in touch with me and my team via my app: The Cruise Globe or on my website. We’re here to help anytime! 🌍🏆
Ps, today’s secret word is… DRIP 💧😂
I wanted to take a photo of Hudson and Rolo from outside the ship so I set them up on the chair, went out and to my surprise Rolo pushed off Hudson while I wasn’t looking! This is the crime scene!! 👀
Welcome to my home for the week! TUI Aria! What is actually inside a river ship I hear you ask? Well… 😀❤️
River ships are much smaller than ocean ships but do feel similar in design/function. Most are around 4 decks. 😎👌🏼
There’s usually at least:
- A big lounge (around half the ship’s length). This is the heart of the ship. On TUI Aria this is where we have daily port talks, do trivia and gameshows, listen to live music or enjoy afternoon tea. 🍰☕️
- A big restaurant (around half the ships length). On here this is where we eat breakfast/lunch (buffet style with specials you can order) and dinner (3 courses served). 😁🥂
- The top deck (whole length of the ship). This is where we watch us sailing or going through locks. We had an ice cream party there too! A great place for a little walk.🍦😎
Some river ships have a second restaurant, perhaps a pool or maybe a little gym. We have an inside pool at the back which is covered over at dinner time and that turns into an Italian restaurant. I had a great pizza there. 🍕😇
There will normally be some sort of atrium in the middle with the reception desk and an excursion desk. Perhaps a few souvenirs you can buy and a tea/coffee station but that’s pretty much it. No go karts or ice skating rinks! Ha ha. 😎👌🏼
The small size makes river ships really easy to get around. I never get lost and am always close to my cabin if I want to go back for a jumper or something! 😎💃
If you’d like to book this cruise or any other, please get in touch with my agency (located in the UK and US) via my app: The Cruise Globe or on my website. We can book TUI cruises for you even if you’re not from the UK and any other river or ocean cruises too. 🌍🏆
Your secret word is TEA! 🍵😁
Our cruise itinerary has changed almost entirely due to low water levels but there have been some big benefits to that, to me anyway. I know I’m the odd one here. 😂❤️
For example I had the pool and sauna completely to myself for over an hour. Why? Well our cruise only has around 100 guests onboard out of a capacity of 190. 😁🏊♀️
Yesterday almost all of those people got on the bus that TUI had arranged to Ghent (around an hour away, bus was included). I decided to stay behind and spend a second day in Antwerp instead. I’ve been to Ghent before but never Antwerp. 😁👙
The week before the cruise we were offered a full refund if we wanted to cancel so that’s why the ship isn’t full. Or we could take a 20% refund and take the new cruise. (If they hadn’t offered us the refund that would have been totally different and I’d have been very annoyed. I have seen some news stories of people saying that was the case for their cruises earlier in the year, but I don’t know how much those cruises changed or what really happened there, I’ve seen so many conflicting stories. I can only speak about my cruise experience and I’ve been very happy with how this change has been handled). Our captain said the water levels haven’t been this low for 200 years!🛥️🕺
I’ve ended up with a cruise that visits new places for me, the onboard experience is amazing and I got 20% off. Oh and it makes a great story for me to tell you all about on YouTube! 😂😁
Speaking of YouTube, I’m going live at 5pm uk (12pm eastern) and it would be great to see you there. (Friday 9th October). 📹💃
Ps, having a great agent on your side makes all of this easier if plans do change. If you don’t already have one you love please get in touch with my agency (located in the UK and US) via my app: The Cruise Globe or on my website. We’re here to help. 🌍🏆
Pps, the secret word is whale! 🐳
Today’s the day! I’m going live at 5pm uk (12pm Eastern) from my cabin onboard TUI Aria in Belgium 🇧🇪😁
Looking forward to chatting. This cruise has been completely changed my low river water levels so I’ve got lots to say! 😂❤️ >> youtube.com/live/AsbJrRj0SbY…
I really need some YouTube help from a real human, if anybody can help I’d be so grateful. I’ve been going around in circles with the same generic messages over and over for 3 months and I am losing the will to create content, which is such a shame. ☹️😭
I’ve been a creator for 10+ years and this year I started another channel. Woohoo! 🥳👌🏼
We passed all the monetisation requirements in that channel 3 months ago but haven’t managed to get the channel approved. Every time my Adsense application is declined with a generic message that tells me nothing about why. When I ask why, I’m told they can’t tell me why. Over and over for 3 months. I feel I’ve tried everything at this point (business account). Every human I’ve managed to talk to has just put me back into the same generic automated email loop. Can anybody help?! 😥🫣
I’ve tried my partner manager and @YouTubeCreators but I always end up in the same place with no idea how to move forward. Really appreciate anybody who has any ideas, I just want to have a conversation with a human so I can keep creating content for this channel.🫠🙏🏼
Here’s the channel youtube.com/@thecruiseglobe
Thanks for reading! I’d never usually use this platform for this, but I’m desperate. 🥲😂
Today we are docked beside another ship, we have to walk over the top deck of the other ship to get to land! Can you imagine if ocean ships did that?! A MSC ship docking besides Carnival? 🫢👀
It’s pretty common on the rivers, 2 or 3, maybe even more cruise ships docked side by side. 😎☀️
Yesterday we were docked in the middle of two ships and I like to say we were the filling of a river ship sandwich. 😂🕺
We sailed away first so the end ship had to move to let us out, before docking alongside the 1st ship. I waved at the other ships (of course) and a crew member shouted ‘SEE YOU LATER ALLIGATOR’. 😂🐊
If you like sailaways on ocean ships, you’ll love sailing on the river. You’re so close to the water and there are always things to see, all of the time that you are sailing is like an ocean sailaway. We’ve been through a lock too which was amazing. Only a few inches between my cabin and the wall. 😂🚶
I suspect we have more parking spaces like this because of our complete itinerary change. We did get a 20% refund for that though and I’m very happy. 👌🏼💰
[There are sailings available on this ship for next year for as little as £1220pp (at my agency, more expensive direct)!! Including flights from the UK, transfers, drinks with meals and gratuities. Just get in touch with me and my agency to book (located in the UK and US) via my app: The Cruise Globe or on my website.🌍🏆]
Ps, don’t mistake my shorts for warmth. It’s 14c (57f). 🩳💨
Pps… The secret word is BEE!! 🐝😂
Welcome to the main dining room of TUI Aria! Isn’t it beautiful?! This is where we eat most of our meals. 👀🥰
There are so many things I love about the dining situation on this ship:
- Firstly it’s completely open seating. No fixed dining times, no table sharing! Woohoo!! LOADS of tables for 2. Relaxed dress code too as you can see from my T-shirt (I’m wearing jeans on the bottom half) 🥳🕺
- Drinks are included at meal times! Beer, wine, juice and most importantly for me… soda. Yummy.🥤😎
- The menus have clearly marked allergens and the crew ask the table if anybody has any. If you do have any special requirements, you can speak directly to the chef. Since there’s only 100-200 guests onboard river ships, that’s something that is so much easier than on the big big ocean ships. 😎👏🏼
- Breakfast and lunch are a buffet (with extra things on the menu you can order like eggs Benedict for breakfast or a pie for lunch). Dinner is served. 😀💃
There is another venue onboard too that serves Italian food but I haven’t tried that one yet. I’m looking forward to it and yes there are little cookies available by the tea/coffee station all day! 🫢🍪
Don’t forget if you’d like to book this cruise or any other, please get in touch with my agency (located in the UK and US) via my app: The Cruise Globe or on my website. We can book you no matter where you’re from and often cost less than booking direct too. 🌍🏆
Today has been so atmospheric! We docked in Rotterdam, Netherlands and headed to Kinderdijk. Check out those windmills fading away to nothing… so foggy! 😂❤️
Have you ever travelled to see something and just seen fog? I’ve had that happen to me in Norway a lot and I once went to see the Golden Gate Bridge in California but couldn’t see a thing, just fog! 🤣🫢
It’s all good fun though and we had a great day. We got the water shuttle which was really easy, I booked the tickets online. Definitely recommend a visit. 😀💪🏼
I love Rotterdam, it’s so easy to explore and there’s so much to see. I’ve been here quite a few times, but always find something new to do. 🥳❤️
I also went to the big food hall and to the supermarket. I love going to supermarkets when abroad and on a river cruise you can bring back snacks or drinks into the ship. There’s no airport style bag checks. My bags full of sweets (candy) and Pepsi. 😉🥤
[We can book TUI river cruises for you even if you’re not from the UK. If you’d like to book this cruise or any other, please get in touch with my agency (located in the UK and US) via my app: The Cruise Globe or on my website. We’ve been busy finding some amazing TUI deals today. 🌍🏆]
Ps, I LOVED all the otter comments on my post yesterday. They were so funny! Today let’s say… bananas, is the secret word. 🤫🍌
