This is why I came to Rotterdam: I’m spending two nights aboard the retired ss Rotterdam, and will be doing the ship tours and exploring as much of her as I can. Fun fact: she entered service in 1959, the year I was born! Will see who’s looking best for this age???

Heading home after my two cruises, I did the British Airways daytime JFK–Heathrow flight. I much prefer this to an overnight transatlantic flight. And fund helps avoid jet lag. Did mean a 4:30am wake up though!

Bermuda’s Royal Naval Dockyard dates to 1809. Once a major British naval base, today its old forts and storehouses have been turned into to a museum, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues as a cruise port. It’s a great island to visit and great cruise area. Agree?

My home on my latest cruise: #NorwegianAqua. Launched in 2025, she’s the first Prima Plus ship: 156,300 tons and 3,571 guests. Quite a sight in Bermuda!

The Haven restaurant food on #NorwegianAqua is good, with plenty of choice. But the breakfast, lunch & dinner menus never change despite hefty charge to go Haven. So, same menu each day. Thoughts??
