One thing I have discovered is that in Italy everyone thinks I am Italian … until they try and engage me in Italian and they get a load of ‘Yorkshire’ back.

There is now no way to claim asylum in the UK. You cannot claim asylum either in the country or out of the country. We have now formally abdicated all responsibility to asylum seekers. I feel deeply sad and ashamed.

A little reminder, should you - like me - need it today: However flawed we, his followers might be, Jesus is truly and consistently excellent. I say this with full recognition that it's far from easy, but let's try to keep our eyes on him. He's literally our only hope.

Foster carers are needed for children of all ages, but there is often a particular need for families who are able to look after groups of siblings, children with disabilities or complex needs, children of black and minority ethnic heritage, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, and teenagers. If you are considering fostering, we would love to help you explore this further. You can contact our enquiry line or attend an information event, where our experienced team will answer your questions and help you navigate your next steps. Below is a basic overview of the process to become a foster carer homeforgood.org.uk/the-foste…
