Apple for all its faults does care about privacy.
why is this dumb tweet my most liked tweet?
I’ve made many much better tweets.
Replying to @thdxr @dillon_mulroy
man, the openAI blog post is gonna be wild “our swarm of super agents accidentally attacked OpenCode for 72 hours before we noticed”
hey @poteto any chance we can get local projects?
I don’t think my enterprise is going to turn on remote control.
I’d love some of the project features but driven from my laptop.
every now and then @WarrenBuffett has just the most insane banger
pretty dang excited to see how this turns out
I don’t really believe in “porting” Laravel to Rust, Go, TypeScript, or anything else, and I wouldn’t describe my Rust experiments that way.
I’m treating it as a chance to experiment with something spiritually similar to Laravel: strong conventions (for agents), full-stack solutions to common web development needs, and familiar APIs, but designed from first principles around what makes sense in that language, and in a world where humans no longer read or write code by hand.
Some features of classical Laravel wouldn’t make it into a Rust / Go / TypeScript version at all, and I’d solve some problems in entirely different ways.
A blind “/goal port this to Rust” is naive imo. It misses the point and it misses the opportunity.

looks like we will get Luna 6.1 soon!
Anthropic has released Claude Haiku 5.5, scoring 43 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index - up 26 points one year after the last Haiku release
Haiku 5.5 is the first Haiku model with Anthropic’s effort settings and adaptive thinking, and Anthropic has introduced tiered pricing.
Haiku 5.5 is cheaper than its predecessor - it costs $0.10/$0.50 per 1M input/output tokens for prompts up to 100k tokens (the same as GPT-6 Luna and 10% of the previous Haiku model). However, this pricing rises 5x to $0.50/$2.50 above 100k. The site does not yet reflect tiered pricing, so provisional cost figures for Haiku 5.5 do not include the step up cost. We are working on support and will follow up with Cost per Task coverage soon.
Key takeaways:
➤ Leading small-class model performance: At max effort Haiku 5.5 sits slightly ahead of models such as GLM-5.3 Flash (42), Gemini 3.8 Flash (41) and GPT-6 Luna (38). Its score is comparable to Kimi K3 (44), a 2.8T parameter open weights model, and trails Claude Sonnet 5.5 (max, 56) by 13 points
➤ Heavy token use compared to GPT-6 Luna: Haiku 5.5 (max) uses ~162k output tokens per Intelligence Index task, ~3x GPT-6 Luna (max, ~50k). Moving from xhigh to max adds 2 points for ~1.8x the tokens. At similar intelligence it also uses more tokens than GPT-6 Luna: Haiku 5.5 (high) scores 38 with ~55k tokens per task against 38 with ~50k for Luna (max), and the gap widens at lower effort settings
➤ Highly capable at agentic knowledge work: on AA-Briefcase, our private evaluation for realistic knowledge work tasks, Haiku 5.5 (max) reaches 1578 Elo, ahead of models including Kimi K3 and GLM-5.3, and comparable to Muse Spark 1.3 (max)
➤ Improvements on terminal use: on Terminal-Bench 4.0 it scores 33%, up from 0% for Haiku 4.5. This is level with GLM-5.3 Flash, and ahead of Gemini 3.8 Flash (20%) and GPT-6 Luna (13%)
➤ Lower factual knowledge, but relatively low hallucinations: as expected for a smaller-class model, Haiku 5.5 has lower factual knowledge than its siblings. AA-Omniscience accuracy is 36%, against 55% for Gemini 3.8 Flash and 44% for GPT-6 Luna, but this is partly driven by more willingness to admit when it doesn’t know - its hallucination rate is lower, at 40% against 55% and 77%
➤ AutomationBench-AA result likely understated: Haiku 5.5 scores 35%, against 53–60% for GPT-6 Luna, Gemini 3.8 Flash and GLM-5.3 Flash. During pre-release testing, a safety refusal issue caused the model to over-refuse. Anthropic is working on resolving this - we will re-run this evaluation with the fix, and expect this score to rise
Other model details:
➤ Context window: 1 million tokens, up from 200k for Claude 4.5 Haiku
➤ Pricing: $0.10/$0.50 per 1M input/output tokens up to 100k tokens, $0.50/$2.50 above. Cache reads $0.01 ($0.05 above 100k), 5 minute cache writes $0.125 ($0.625 above 100k)
➤ Multimodality: Text and image input, with text output
when you’ve gotta wait a whole week for the next episode of @MostlyTechPod
this is why I built my work automation on opencode
customize what you need to, but then ride on top of the hard work people are doing who spend ALL their time obsessing about those details
this makes sense…
Hi,
Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscriptions to new subscribers, but together with it we are also changing how we calculate the usage for it. In effect, if you do the math, it will net out at half the dollar in API spend compared to the old Pro $200 plan.
Now that it's said, let me explain why this is happening and why you will still get more work done than if you were on the Pro $200 subscription one month ago.
(a) We didn't want to compromise in other ways and are committing to not reintroducing the 5h limit, so that you can fully use the weekly usage when you want.
(b) On the subscription, we guarantee that over time you always get more work done and with an increasing level of quality. This means that you will continue to get more value per dollar spent as a result of models getting more efficient and us passing down the improvements in the form of API price reductions.
(c) We don't want to put an incentive on ourselves to artificially inflate the API list prices to make it look like you are getting a lot (and workaround it through discounts, etc). Instead we want to continue to both rapidly reduce prices and increase capabilities of models on the API. This week we introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna at 50% of their previous price. Over time, we see prices go low enough that it makes sense for most to buy usage as needed without there being a significant gap between what you get in a subscription and what you get in the API for a dollar spent.
(d) Tomorrow, we are adding more things to the subscription that won't draw on the usage, I won't reveal what that is yet.
I wanted to be transparent before all the big announcements tomorrow. Lots of new exciting things are coming to the subscriptions that will make it super compelling, but I wanted to make sure to share this change ahead of time so you can all understand it before we shower you with good news.
Codexingly,
Tibo
I wish I knew how much of the cuts in pricing for openai and ant are due to optimizations and how much is eroding margins.
@thdxr do you have any idea with what y’all have seen on the open source side of model hosting.
How’d I do?
@dillon_mulroy
yo @aarondfrancis at work they are vibe coding things and replacing external vendors.
they replaced a piece of software that must’ve had over 100k seats
warren cooked with this one
Gonna crash out real quick. The "you have to go to college if you want to be anything" feminist crowd convinced my wife she had to go to college and get a degree if she ever wanted to amount to anything
So she got 2 degrees, and then after getting laid off from her job in 2020, the one the first two got her, decided to get a nursing degree. We paid for that one out of pocket, and it was fully worth it
But the first two, those were nothing but boomer parents telling her to do things they never did because society said that's was the measuring stick of success
But it's not. Out of all the people I know who went to college, most of them are worthless daily instruction taking cogs in the wheel of shit
Because the truth is she loves being a stay at home mother, and she's incredible at it. Yet society *still* keeps telling her that's a worthless disposition, while we continue to see the downfalls of daycare and all the shitty humans it produces
Meanwhile the families are saddled with bullshit "feminism" usury loans trying to make women lie about what can actually make them feel fulfilled
Theres no more important job than being a mom. In fact I'd be willing to bet the absence of Mom's is exactly what's wrong with the world right now
