Pennsylvania officials are proposing to update health education standards to reflect “bodily autonomy concepts” — while dropping the emphasis on abstinence. What’s changing, and why does it matter, asks Beth Ann Rosica👇 broadandliberty.com/2026/10/…

Parents‼️ Do NOT be afraid to stand up and speak out! Our daughters deserve fair treatment and adults willing to fight for them! Holly and her parents Kevin and Sarah are heroes 👏👏👏
Over a dozen Washington state girls walked off a cross country meet in protest of a male competitor who started the season on the boys team. Holly Burns was one of those girls, and her parents, Kevin and Sarah, told me last night how it took unity from the girls involved to make the protest happen. The parents also told me they were pestered by security and other spectators for bringing protest signs to the meet, if future protests should be expected, and if they're ready to be at the center of the country's next big 'Save Girls' Sports' drama.

Governor Shapiro is leaving money on the table. So far, he has chosen to not opt in to the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit. This would cost Pennsylvania parents and students money. During last week's debate, Governor Shapiro once again balked at opting in, refusing again to make a commitment or announcement. 30 other states, including Colorado and New York, have now opted in to the program, which allows individual taxpayers to claim a federal tax credit of up to $1,700 (or $3,400 for married couples filing jointly) for making qualified cash contributions to Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs). New York Governor Hochul said, "I don't want to leave money on the table when it could help our kids!" Pennsylvania shouldn't either! Visit pafamily.org/optin to tell Governor Shapiro to act now!

Last time, PA-10 came down to the wire, and this race is close again. Every vote puts points on the board. Janelle Stelson is counting on “too busy” and “I’ll do it later.” Don’t give her the win. Vote early on demand by Oct. 27, or on Election Day, Nov. 3. Make your plan:

There are three branches of government but Shapiro uses the Independent Regulatory Review Commission as a fourth, subject to his extreme view of taking away parental rights. Here we go again. Your child sees a doc without you, but you pay the bill without any voice for them.
Parents, pay attention: The Shapiro Administration is making it harder for you to access your own child's mental health records. New regulations would remove protections for parents' rights over their children's mental health – including protections for parents of kids under 14. This is a deliberate attempt by the Department of Human Services to take away parents’ rights to access critical information regarding their children’s mental health care. Government should never stand between parents and the care of their children. But that's exactly what's happening. The Shapiro administration wants to cut parents out of the picture and allow minor children to “consent” to any form of treatment classified as mental health-related—including sex-rejecting procedures, or so-called "gender-affirming care." The Independent Regulatory Review Commission will consider these regulations on Thursday October 15, which is next week! Pennsylvania parents: Speak up. We've stopped the Shapiro Administration's regulatory agenda before, and we can do it again. Tell IRRC to protect parents’ rights and access to their children’s mental health records. Visit pafamily.org/no to make your voice heard today.

"Our neighborhoods are not better because gambling is everywhere. Our families are not better off because the casino is in our pocket. And children certainly don’t benefit when the state uses the imagery of their favorite entertainment to sell the next lottery ticket." Read @DanBartkowiak's full op-ed here: broadandliberty.com/2026/10/…
This needs to be part of Pennsylvania’s conversation on gambling policy. Why is the state using a children’s game to advertise gambling? And that’s just the tip of the iceberg with the many gambling problems Pennsylvania has created. broadandliberty.com/2026/10/… @BroadAndLiberty

Abortion. No matter what. That's the @GovernorShapiro motto. Not good for women. Not good for Pennsylvania.
Gov. Josh Shapiro announced he not only wants abortion added to PA's constitution, but he wants the “full range” of abortion options available, meaning you can throw out current laws like informed consent, 24 hour waiting period, and the Gosnell facility regulations.

Democrats' have long claimed to be champions of women's rights but a provocative ad campaign titled “People, Not Pawns” is challenging this narrative. The campaign asks provocative questions—does the left hate women? Does the left view women as pawns in political power games?

And @GovernorShapiro and @PaHouseDems want to pass a law that would force all bathrooms and locker rooms in schools, public buildings, etc to be open to self identification. Women and girls in Pennsylvania lose their safety and privacy in the name of "inclusion."
The thing that never happens and could never happen and that only evil people predicted would happen has happened again.

Everybody knows... Even the @PaHouseDems know the difference between men and women. And yet, they refuse to vote on the Save Women's Sports Act!
"Men's and women's bodies are different." This was a line delivered by Representative Emily Kinkead (D - 20) in a recent meeting of the House Labor & Industry Committee. It's incredibly telling. We agree - men's and women's bodies ARE different. But Democrat leadership in the Pennsylvania House has been ignoring that truth for too long - over 1,000 days to be exact. The Save Women's Sports Act (which would protect women's sports and keep them for women only) was just re-referred for a 16th time. Sixteen times, House Democrat leadership has kicked this bill down the road and avoided a vote on protecting Pennsylvania's women and girls. Representative Kinkead herself has voted to re-refer these bills. But even she knows that men and women are different. Visit pafamily.org to join us in the fight to protect women's sports in Pennsylvania!

Girls deserve their own athletic opportunities. @PaHouseDems continue to evade a vote on protecting girls' sports. Pennsylvania voters need to pay attention.
Today we are proud to feature another member of the Pennsylvania House who is willing to go on the record about girls’ sports and sex-separated spaces. Rep. Scott Barger (R) PA House District 80 Blair County (part) & Huntingdon County (part) It is one thing to answer a cold call from constituents. It is another to take the extra step of recording a video and making your position public. Rep. Barger is giving Pennsylvanians the opportunity to hear directly from him, in his own words, where he stands on legislation addressing girls’ sports and sex-separated spaces. Please share this video so Rep. Barger’s message can be heard beyond Pennsylvania. Legislators who are willing to publicly state their positions give voters and constituents something important: a clear record of where they stand. And for anyone just joining this series: Pennsylvania’s 203 State House districts are on the ballot this November. @Luce_Lexi and I are calling legislators AND their challengers because Pennsylvanians deserve to know exactly where the people asking for their vote stand on women’s sports and sex-separated spaces. Whether you live in Pennsylvania or somewhere else in the country, sharing these videos helps more people hear directly from elected officials instead of relying on assumptions about their positions. No guessing. No assumptions. Put it on the record.

(1/5) WIN for parents, children, and teachers in Pennsylvania. A Chester County school district has rescinded a policy that required school staff to hide students’ at-school social transitions from parents and compelled employees to use preferred names and pronouns. The policy went so far as to use a school database to track whether parents knew about their child’s social transition, so staff would know when to withhold that information from them. After the Independence Law Center and Alliance Defending Freedom sent a demand letter outlining the policy’s constitutional violations, the district rescinded it. Parents have the primary responsibility and right to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children. Schools should never be in the business of keeping parents in the dark about something this consequential. This is why the Independence Law Center exists: to defend religious freedom, free speech, parental rights, and other fundamental civil liberties when they are threatened. One district down . . . many more to go. Stay vigilant, moms and dads. To learn more and support our work, visit independencelaw.org
