As another winter storm approaches I am thinking about our unhoused #RhodeIsland
neighbors making due with improvised shelters. This photo is taken from the site of the new Tidewater Stadium.

Honest question:
Wasn’t the argument for Buffalo’s new stadium not having a roof that football is supposed to be played in the elements?
This is multiple games in recent years that have been rescheduled due to weather.
Do we want the elements to be a factor or not?

I looked at the seven stages of grief and didn’t see racism, sexual harassment, blackmailing or stealing in there.

It looks like another year where insider lobbyists have convinced General Assembly leadership to let them continue the evil practice of payday loans. When will this end @RISpeaker @SenatorRuggerio ?
Rhode Island is the only state in New England to allow ultra-high-interest payday loans, in excess of 260%. It is time to cap the rate on loans at 36% Contact your state rep and sen today and ask them to set the cap buff.ly/43e5Cv1

Great turnout for the release of the @hwri 2022 Housing Factbook. Many opportunities to work together to meet the need for more affordable housing and to also desegregate our communities and schools by looking at our zoning and land use policies.

It is unethical and inhumane to close an encampment without an alternative solution. Moving is stressful for anyone, being forced to move without a plan (that you as the occupant are involved in) is complete chaos.

Now is the time to raise the RI Works benefit. How would you survive on $554/month for a family of 3?
RI is the only state in NE that hasn’t raised the benefit for families receiving RI Works. The $554/mo. benefit for a family of 3 is the lowest in the region. Pass S-226 and H-5683 to lift families out of deep poverty. Learn more at: raisingri.org #RaisingRI
