ALT Join the WV Coop Unit at West Virginia University to conduct research on reintroduced elk in West Virginia in cooperation with the WV Division of Natural Resources. You'll work with a unique GPS dataset from nearly all elk within the population in the 9+ years following reintroduction. Possible research directions include investigating spatial responses to habitat management, creating movement models to improve disease surveillance, and evaluating monitoring strategies.
