Simulators are time machines. They let us explore possible futures before trying them in the physical world.
AI agents can now automate simulation development that required teams of specialists. We’ve crossed a threshold.
Now everyone can build time machines.
Teaching a robot a sport takes more than showing it a highlight reel. Every move must hold up in physics simulation. 🦾
Robo Olympics, a fun exploratory project by Tae Kim, VP of Engineering for @nvidiaomniverse, explores how frontier intelligence can make physical AI development accessible to everyone.
He built the project using Codex with @OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra model, providing natural-language instructions.

NVIDIA just published a workflow where Codex, powered by GPT‑6 Astra, coordinates specialized Hermes subagents through NemoClaw.
The agents inspect a Blender scene via MCP, add semantic labels, collision meshes, physics, materials, cameras, and LiDAR, then render preflight views and run SimReady validation before handing it to Isaac Sim.
The interesting part isn’t another multi-agent demo.
Each agent owns a specific tool, task, and acceptance criterion.
That’s what turns orchestration into an engineering workflow.

For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.
