As an update to my previous post, there were a few things I wanted to clarify: - The company is not publicly traded, so you can't short it, sorry - The company has essentially been passed around by different VC firms for the last 15 years or so, each firm tries to make it "more attractive" to pass it off to the next VC to worry about - Some people questioned the validity of the post, attaching a photo of the Indians who were involved in the hiring/interview fraud situation. See image below. - A lot of commentators talked about the Indian's constant need to "jump on a quick call" to discuss when any issue arises. When they call, they are essentially trying to get you to do the work for them, to fix their problem so they don't have to do any troubleshooting. I usually end up troubleshooting the way they should on these calls anyway, making it very frustrating. Most of the time, the "problem" isn't a legitimate bug, it's just they failed to implement our code properly. They seem to have a culture of fear about not getting "tickets" completed on time. They believe success in development is completing as many tickets, as fast as humanly possible, regardless of the quality of the work, or honestly if it even works. - The Senior leadership team is not all Indians surprisingly enough, but the CTO behind the "offshore model" is a foreigner. - Imagine how sick to my stomach I got when they brought out the "diversity" slide at one of our quarterly townhalls to show how "diverse" we are. The company is approximately 50% Indians, and the developers who do remain from America are mostly H1B foreigners with heavy accents from either India or Africa. They see "diversity", I think of the families of Americans and Canadians I worked with who got fired to save a buck. - I use AI a lot in my workflows now to increase my productivity, but I'm not even exaggerating when I tell you that pre-AI, back when we would create mockups in Sketch and pass them off to the (now replaced) developers to hand code from scratch, they would make less mistakes and complete the work faster than the Indian team does now, using AI and being provided production ready front-end code. - In addition to replacing North American based developers with Indians, they also have done a "cleaning of the house" of many of the original staff, for example one architect had been with the company for TWENTY FIVE (25!) years and they fired him without justification.Several employees with 10+ years of tenure and institutional knowledge have been replaced, and not only does losing that deep industry/product knowledge harm us, but in the case of the architect, he had just finished making a BUNCH of major architecture decisions before he was fired, and now we've spent the last two years building in the framework he envisioned, but he's not even around to guide it anymore. I've raised concerns several times but they've basically been brushed off as "well this is the way we're doing it" without any rational as to why, because only that architect really knew why we were doing it this way.
