Over the summer at the @UniofExeter we have been working to understand whether swimming in #sewage polluted rivers and lakes across the UK 🇬🇧 is linked to a higher risk of carrying antibiotic-resistant bacteria🦠💊relative to people who do not swim.
This is the last batch of kits now ready & waiting to be requested 📦 There is still time for both #wildswimmers and non-swimmers to take part in the #poosticksstudy - sign up today!
➡️Request your kit here: bit.ly/poo-sticks

Please share! The more people take part, the more confidence we can have in our findings.

Are you worried about 💩pollution in 🇬🇧rivers spreading 'superbugs'?
The Poo-Sticks project needs your help!
This summer, we've been studying the gut microbiomes 🦠of river swimmers and are now looking for people who don't swim in rivers, lakes, or the sea (though river & lake swimmers can still sign up!).
Your participation is key to understanding how widespread 💊antibiotic-resistant bacteria 💊are among the British public.
Are you interested in taking part?
Do you know anyone who might be?
