Whatever happened to Scotland's 'National Walking Strategt', last published in 2014? Isn't walking and wheeling supposed to be "top of the sustainable travel hierarchy"?? gov.scot/publications/lets-s… – at Edinburgh, Scotland

Hi @edinhelp. The council website doesn't appear to show an email address for public transport queries. Can you please provide one (and suggest that this is added to the CEC website)? Thanks

I do enjoy seeing what prioritising pedestrians looks like on the ground. This really promotes walking and wheeling for everyday journeys.

Does @SPEnergyNetwork have an explanation for this sign on Gilmore Place? On a busy school route! Shameful. @LivingStreetsEd – at Edinburgh, Scotland

Slovakia’s PM warns that we may be on the brink of war with Russia. He argues that many European leaders are compensating for socio-economic problems at home by stoking war rhetoric. He also expresses concern that we no longer talk about peace, only war.

Protecting the rights of women and girls is not an attack on trans people. Propagandising suicides runs contrary to every tenet of suicide prevention. There is no low to which serial failed litigant Jolyon Maugham will not stoop in his endless quest for donations and publicity.

I see that the @scotgov Programme for Government includes an action to "consult on transferring the Mobility and Access Committee into the Scottish Government". The whole point of an advisory NDPB is to provide advice and perspectives that the civil service doesn't have!

Hi @edinhelp. It would be a good idea to change or cover up these signs now that Princes Street is open again? – at Edinburgh, Scotland

Not that long ago, everyone had to repeat the mantra that Russia destroying its own pipeline was part of the “Russian playbook.” Anyone who disagreed by suggesting we use common sense was denounced as carrying water for Putin. Our societies would be less radical and gung-ho about war if we could have honest and open debates about the Russiagate hoax, NATO expansionism, and the costs of not allowing dissent.

The British press tells the world that high tech drones are being made in the U.K. and being supplied to Ukraine from where they are fired into Russia. Some of these new drones are getting through Russian air defences and striking targets inside Russia. Russia says that this must stop or there will be consequences. Our new PM says that Russia can get lost and that the drone supply to Ukraine will continue. Given the lamentable state of the British armed forces - to say nothing of our bankrupt economy - this policy of provoking Russia into war with the U.K. is nothing short of lunacy. There is no public foreign policy debate. There are no dissenting voices in the House of Commons. Unless we open proper diplomatic relations with Moscow which will involve a change of the current U.K. policy, this will end badly for the U.K. I am 76. I do not care for myself but I care for my children and grandchildren.

Is this parody, or a joke?! Advice for walking to Murrayfield: "Please remember you will be passing through streets where people live. Please respect their homes. Use litter bins. Wait until you get to the stadium to use the toilets." @LivingStreetsEd – at Edinburgh, Scotland
This is always a busy time of year in Edinburgh. Plan ahead for any journeys and give yourself more time. We've got lots of advice on getting around edinburgh.gov.uk/gettingarou…

Hi @edinhelp. Why is there a "road closed" sign at Cowgate, when it isn't closed until 3.00pm? (Not that anyone is paying attention to it!)

Why is the Cowgate closed to traffic eastbound @edinhelp? This isn't part of the advertised Summer Streets programme and is adding to traffic congestion in the Grassmarket area. – at Edinburgh, Scotland

Low floor buses, introduced from the 1990s, were a game-changer for disabled people: and for parents of young children.
I don’t understand where this whole “babies should be removed from buses” thing started, why does everyone hate babies all of a sudden? Trying to manoeuvre a newborn onto a bus is already in the Top 1 Worst Bus Experiences.
