Rains earlier this week have hindered dry bean harvest progress in many parts of Manitoba and North Dakota.... 30% of the crop is still in the field in central North America... Weather dictates everything over the next 2 to 3 weeks!

Didn’t get any rain, and still have mold in the areas that didn’t drown out
Southern Manitoba received nothing so far in parts of North Dakota also... Those that did get half an inch are lucky but it has a limited effect maybe 2 days probably won't the status of the crop much.
Well it's the end of July and our hopes for rain have been diminishing and I fear many crops not having received rain in the last week, will suffer severely!

Post harvest rally in dry bean prices in the future or will we see it before?
It was a great experience and I encourage more dry bean growers visit this region which is so unique and amazing!!!!!

Seeded acreage report out today, not entirely accurate as producers intentions to plant Dry beans that they didn't are included. 15% reduction from last year they claim, but 30% is probably more realistic! Need heat and less moisture at this point! Crop is getting smaller!
Question of the day. Are $0.33 per lb US 2026 crop prices in North Dakota enough to encourage acres of black beans and pinto beans?

I was always a loyal monarchist but here is one more reason for the West to become a republic.
With Mexico having 7 months to go before their summer crop of dry beans will be harvested, I wonder how aggressive a buyer they may become over the next 2 months??? Even though their crop was better than the previous 2 years, it wasn't great!
