As Minnesota’s *first* Chief Equity Officer, Dr. Stephanie Burrage will lift up the voices of those who have been left out of government for far too long to create meaningful change and more equitable policies.
I look forward to partnering with her in this important work.
I am pleased to announce that @GovTimWalz and @LtGovFlanagan have appointed me as Chief Equity Officer to the new Office of Equity and Opportunity. I look forward to beginning in this role April 11.
This essential role has been created as a way to serve all communities across the State of Minnesota and to help eliminate disparities across race, geography, ability, gender, sexual orientation and economic status.

We are so appreciative of Minnesota's 20,000+ paraprofessionals. Take some time this week to say "thank you" to a paraprofessional in your life!
.@GovTimWalz has proclaimed this week as Paraprofessional Recognition Week. Paraprofessionals have stepped up in many ways during the pandemic—supporting school-age care, assisting with virtual learning, helping deliver meals for students and more. Thank you, paraprofessionals! xitter.cf/MnDeptEd/status/148563…
