I feel gutted rn.
Bitcoin is run by disgusting politics, no different from the system Satoshi sought to free us from. And since 2017, no less!
This is a bitter, bitter pill.

"Do I look panicked to you guys? Do I look like I give a shit about how it goes down on August the 8th?" 🔥
Funnest & most important 2+ mins of the talk IMO. 😆👍

We constantly see @Braiins employees criticizing #BIP110 without any basis whatsoever.
They haven't caused us any problems beyond a few sporadic bans.
@EliNagar will lose her best clients.

I remember when Samson had balls & acknowledged Core had been compromised & how bitcoiners should do something about it. I wonder who gave him a phone call or what he was offered to stop talking about it. Shame I can't reply to him anymore. Andy's pal chose corruption over BTC.

Craig Wright joins the suits in their support of non-monetary use of Bitcoin and ridicule of BIP-110 🤷♂️

So, the guy who says you need his stock to turn Bitcoin into money and says that Bitcoin needs to be regulated by the state to be accepted and adopted, is against BIP-110. Color me shocked 🥱

Support great businesses like @MannaBitcoin that support BIP-110!

@MannaBitcoin is a wallet and doesn't have a direct means of exchange for fiat (we are working on it). But I am the CEO and support BIP110, as do the majority of my team. I won't dox them unless they choose to be doxed. But, by large, we are proponents of BIP110/RDTS. ✅️

Yet another BIP-110 block... expect more and more of those.
#SpammersGFY for the win!

ATTENTION. IN ONE MONTH, THE BITCOIN NETWORK WILL START REJECTING BLOCKS THAT DO NOT SIGNAL READINESS FOR BIP-110, A SOFTFORK TO REJECT THE ARBITRARY DATA STORAGE USE CASE, THEREBY REAFFIRMING THAT BITCOIN IS MONEY.

Since Feb 2023 the Bitcoin network has suffered catastrophic abuse by spammers.
The proper response to abuse is to mitigate it. BIP-110 does that.
The improper response is to repeat the mantra of the bad actor: “Bitcoin is for enemies!”

When BIP-110 activates, what will happen to the valuations of David Bailey's UTXO Management funds? How full of spam cos and Bitcoin L2 affinity scams are they? Could that help to explain David's recent hysterics?

Shinobi has got to be one of the most disingenuous bitcoiners in all of Bitcoin. Shinobi is the “technical editor” of Bitcoin Magazine. Luke was literally the person who figured out the technical approach of SegWit BIP 141 for the 2017 UASF BIP 148.
Shinobi is a journalist that has 0 commits to Bitcoin Core (or any Bitcoin client implementation software).
Luke is a developer that has over 500 commits to Core and built/maintains a feature enhanced fork of Bitcoin Core called Knots. Today around 20% of the entire Bitcoin network’s reachable nodes run Knots.
Here is a brief list of some of @LukeDashjr’s major achievements and contributions to Bitcoin:
• One of the longest-tenured Bitcoin Core contributors (January 2011 until ~2025) with approximately 526 commits to Bitcoin Core.
• Resolved the 2013 Bitcoin blockchain fork. First to publicly warn about the chain split caused by a bug in Bitcoin Core 0.8 (March 11, 2013) and helped coordinate the emergency consensus upgrade/soft fork that restored a single valid chain.
• Key role in SegWit soft-fork deployment. Figured out the technical approach to activate Segregated Witness (SegWit/BIP 141) as a soft fork (avoiding hard-fork risks); contributed to the implementation and supported User Activated Soft Fork (UASF) efforts for activation.
• Author of BIP 22 and BIP 23. Primary author of the getblocktemplate (GBT) decentralized mining protocol standards (2012), which enabled miners to construct their own block templates and laid groundwork for modern pooled mining protocols (far predating Stratum).
• Was the Maintainer of the Bitcoin Core BIPs repository and process. Long-term volunteer maintainer of the official Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs) GitHub repo; was the primary (or sole) editor responsible for vetting proposals and assigning BIP numbers for many years.
• Founded one of the earliest Bitcoin mining pools (Eligius, 2011). Created and operated Eligius, an anonymous/no-registration pool; wrote the first large-scale open-source mining pool software with full GBT support for decentralized mining.
• Developed BFGMiner (2014). Released popular open-source mining software supporting a wide range of ASIC/FPGA hardware, with features like overclocking, monitoring, and remote control; widely used across platforms.
• Maintainer of Bitcoin Knots. Develops and maintains Bitcoin Knots, a feature-enhanced fork of Bitcoin Core with advanced mining features, stricter default policies, and spam-filtering capabilities (e.g., against large OP_RETURN data or Ordinals/inscriptions); runs on 20%+ of publicly reachable nodes in recent years.
• Co-founded Ocean mining pool (2023). Co-founder, Chairman, and CTO of Ocean, a decentralized Bitcoin mining pool that gives miners direct control over block template selection/construction to reduce pool operator centralization; uses Bitcoin Knots and received backing from Jack Dorsey.
• Research and node advocacy. Co-authored research (with University of Bristol) estimating true Bitcoin node counts (suggesting >100,000 active nodes vs. visible counts); long-time advocate for widespread full-node usage to secure the network.
