Lovely weekend and another long hilly race! Slowly getting quicker and better at pacing myself. Loving the views and chatting with other runners.
Great to have 4 hours to myself! Maybe a bit extreme to get some me time!
Agree, but a quick straw poll of my 24 most local acute trusts; 23 had male medical directors from their websites.
Change needs female representation at top levels of leadership with active removal of barriers.
Curiosity as to why this imbalance exists in the data is important

A quick straw poll of my 24 most local acute trusts; 23 had male medical directors from their websites. This is the data showing power imbalance & leads to blind spots!

It should leave us thinking about us.
>The majority of people the NHS cares for are women.
>The majority of carers are women.
>Three quarters of the workforce, are women.
Women are substantially underrepresented (37%) in senior positions across the NHS. myemail.constantcontact.com/…

Celebrating our first 17th wedding anniversary, traditional gift is furniture… This is my gift to display my last years medals, although the real gift was the 5am starts and 2am finishes to get me too and from them! @maydrakin
What a day! Hard physically and mentally. But 45 miles 7000ft ascent in 12 hours 12 mins. Really was tough & sheer determination kept m going. So proud of 12th woman (out of 39) and 32nd overall!
Just time for a quick chai latte before I start! All kit checks passed and ready to go!
Surprisingly excited to take on this monster challenge!
This time tomorrow hopefully I will be roughly half way through the Spine Sprint, my longest race to date at 46 miles.
I am so excited to be a dot to watch for the first time! live.opentracking.co.uk/sss2…
This is a massive challenge for me and lots of colleagues and friends at work asked if I was raising money, so I thought I would try.

When female role models suffer brutal misogyny, they become a cautionary tale for other women's aspirations. Patriarchy praises submissive women but punishes overachieving ones--with the goal of keeping all women in their "place". @Martha_Gill
